26. Libra New Moon

‘Egads, what is that unflattering protrusion?’

Saturnian Sam is having quite the eye-opening experience. You see, even though Sam is practical, sensible, and level-headed, he has always bought into the Starrkitty delusional hype. Unfortunately for Kit, that jig is now up!

Monday’s New Moon in Libra is compelling us to take a hard look at the nitty gritty aspect of relationships. The New Moon ruler, Venus, is currently traveling through the practical, efficient sign of Virgo. Normally sensuous, romantic, and charismatic, Venus, when in Virgo, sees through romantic delusion and prefers the dishes clean, the garbage dumped and the bills paid.

The Venusian vixen recently invited an evaluation of alliances as she completed a long retrograde in passionate Leo. Partnerships found lacking may have been severed. Those that survived may still be under scrutiny. Venus also finished up a sobering, chilly aspect with realistic Saturn. Not only were the day-to-day details of life examined, but philosophical and spiritual concerns were assessed as well. As Venus approaches a confrontation with ethereal Neptune, the rose colored glasses are bound to come off. Venus in Virgo can’t afford to play the martyr. She wants to separate the wheat from the chaff and move forward in a healthy manner.

Complicating cosmic matters, this New Moon is also in a celestial standoff with erratic Uranus in self-assertive Aries. While the Sun, (identity) and Moon (emotions) long for partnership harmony in Libra, Uranus yearns to be footloose, fancy-free and unencumbered! This is no smooth ride for relationships of any kind! (Can I recommend the read, ‘Separating Aspects’ by Armand Diaz?)

‘Kit,’ counsels Sam, ‘there’s the issue of false advertising. Perhaps the weight loss book, “Wheat Belly” might be added to your reading list?’

Duck and cover!

27. Conflict Resolution

‘Quit accusing me!,’ murmurs Kit, ‘I do not always leave my dishes in the sink and I am not getting fat! You are lazy and shiftless, plus you put too much butter in the cookie batter.’

Uh-uh. Sunday’s Full Moon in Aries is highlighting the banal resentment that’s been festering in many a working relationship. The Moon in independent Aries longs for freedom, independence and adventure. The Sun in partnership oriented Libra seeks harmony, communication and compromise. Balancing these two opposing energies while Mercury, the planet of communication, backpedals through Libra, the sign associated with relationship, adds a degree of difficulty to this volatile mix. Issues believed to have been resolved may resurface, words spoken now may never be able to be retracted.

Adding to the stress, the ruler of this Full Moon, Mars, is in nitpicky, critical Virgo. Instead of confronting issues head on, as Mars usually does, its energy can be passive aggressive,
it can be stinging and hurtful. Wounds may fester. Mars is in conflict with authoritative Saturn. There will be consequences to actions.

On the other end of the spectrum, Venus the co-ruler of this Moon is completing a long transit of vain, dramatic Leo. There is an aura of self-importance and selfishness to this Full Moon. No one will want to roll over and play the victim. Venus can be a worthy warrior when she gets her dander up. She may go on the offensive.

‘I’m not going to forget this.’ threatens Kit. ‘You’ll miss my dirty dishes when I’m gone and rue the day you ever criticized me!’

Think before you speak during this turbulent Lunar Eclipse!

28. Time for a cleanse-or is it?

‘I wanted the oxygen facial Lucy,’ demands Kit. ‘Not the avocado scrub! Haven’t you been listening to me?’

‘I heard you Kit,’ quips Lucy Libra, ‘calm yourself. Before I plump and smooth, first I like to tighten and tone. You’re sagging in the jowls. Quite a bit. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen you at the spa this week. What’s the dish?

‘I’m going Anne Hathaway Luc, extreme dieting...I’m set to star in “Kitty Goes Carousing” in 2 weeks and I need to drop 20 for the cameras. The director had the nerve to tell me he saw a bulge! Anyway, I’m starting from the outside in. I want glowing fur, which hopefully will translate to my internal organs. I’m doing the treadmill, machines, elliptical everyday, colonic irrigation, strictly veg and fruit juice, followed by...

‘Kit, don’t you think you’re overdoing it,’ cautions Lucy. ‘I mean you live off of bacon fat. You don’t want to shock your system.’

‘That’s exactly what I want to do...

This week’s New Moon in detailed, neurotic, health conscious Virgo is making some extreme connections. First off, the Moon opposes healer Chiron in nebulous Pisces, indicating that ‘healing’ can be fraught with murky misunderstanding. Amplifying matters, this New Moon is in wacky aspect with erratic Uranus in headstrong Aries. Kit had best be careful this health regimen doesn’t backfire bigtime!

To complicate matters further, the New Moon ruler, Mercury, is in relationship oriented Libra, stationing to go retrograde. It will be all too easy to be misunderstood, misconstrued, and misquoted. All kinds of relationships will be tested. Since Virgo is the sign of service, watch how you speak to the factotums. Nerves are definitely on edge!

‘Not to alarm you Kit, but do I see the signs of carbuncle?’

29. Bleeding hearts on parade

‘Kit, what gives,’ queries Vesta Virgo, ‘I’ve never seen you man my food bank before?’

‘Sure you have,’ retorts Kit. ‘Remember when I was plugging “Everything’s Coming Up Kitty”, I volunteered then and also when I was promoting, “Kitty Under the Sun.” My fans love to see me do-gooding.’

Saturday’s Full Moon in Pisces evokes the Good Samaritan in most of us. The Moon in Pisces in close proximity to Neptune imbues us with empathy. The Sun in “eager to please” Virgo stipulates that we be of service. Egotistical Jupiter joining the Sun amplifies the act or art of martyrdom. Everyone wants to jump on the self-sacrifice band wagon.
Adding to the cosmic set-up, Mercury in Libra, co-ruler of this Full Moon, advocates cooperation, diplomacy, and tactful relations.

‘It is always nice to see you,’ teases Vesta, ‘even if it takes a photo-op to get you here. I know how hard it is for you to sacrifice your precious time.’

‘Can the sarcasm Vesta,’ quips Kit, ‘lets not lose sight of what’s important with our petty quibbling. The important thing is to nourish these poor souls with your delicious broth. You can quote me on that.’

30. Kudos for me!

‘I’ll dazzle em with my harem girl, wow them with my dead on Cleo impersonation, bowl them over with “demure, silent mysterious geisha girl” then after a light tap medley and a few pas de deux’, I’ll knock em dead with an excerpt from “Annie Get Your Gun.” They’ll be eating out of my hand and clamoring for an encore. Too bad, they’ll be out of luck. If they want more Kit, they’ll have to buy more Kit.’

Warning Miss StarrKitty! Don’t self-congratulate or count the grosses till all the reviews are in and the cash safely stored in the vault!

Friday’s New Moon in egocentric, entertaining Leo is indeed teeming with self-confidence, showmanship, and brashness. This New Moon is not only conspiring with charismatic Venus, it is also in a winsome aspect with rebel Uranus urging self-expression and risk-taking. While it would appear that one could toot one’s talents to the heavens, a discerning Saturn in Scorpio is primed to reveal flaws, secrets, armor kinks, and perhaps even subterfuge.

All that glitters is not gold. If your act isn’t together Saturn will expose you. Before you strut your stuff, double ace the routines and clear backstage for sabotage. If good to go, hog the limelight and steal some thunder!

31. There’s no ‘we’ in star

‘First I’d like to thank God for making me me. If it wasn’t for my ingenuity and creativity this endeavor never would have manifested. My intelligence, wit, bravery, compassion and fortitude brought this project to fruition.

Next I’d like to acknowledge these folks on stage behind me. If they hadn’t followed my expert leadership to the tiniest detail, I’m sure this well deserved honor would not have been bestowed on us. Congrats for being such compliant gofers!’

Friday’s Full Moon in Aquarius illuminates the disparity between teamwork and individual accomplishment. The Moon in group-oriented Aquarius wants to band together and function as a community. The Sun in egocentric Leo needs to accumulate kudos for vanities sake. This desire for personal recognition is amped up by the modern Full Moon ruler, rebel Uranus, in Aries, the sign of assertiveness, bravery, and self-serving interests.

Adding to the inflation of one’s own importance is the traditional ruler of Aquarius, discerning Saturn, in cosmic combat with blustering Jupiter, also in pride hungry Leo. The battle for creative control is raging. The Sun in a wacky aspect to visionary but delusional Neptune doesn’t help ground this artistically tempered Moon.

‘Excuse me, Kit,’ notes Milo Mercury, ‘not to bust your bubble, but I did actually pen the script.’

Ouch Kitty! Looks like you’ve been trumped!

32. There goes the neighborhood

‘Woe is me, uprooted by “progress”,’ exclaims crabby Castor Cancer. ‘I’ve been here six million years and now all of a sudden I’m being driven out by cosmic revitalization. Where will I go, what will I do?’

‘It’s the renewed interest in Pluto,’ sympathizes Kit. ‘Seriously you should have seen this coming back when the outers were conjunct in Capricorn. That was the time to put the house on the market. Now you’ll be lucky to get what you paid for it.’

‘Hindsight, Kit. Like I whined before, what’s to become of me!’

Poor Castor. This New Moon in the domestic and family-oriented sign of Cancer highlights home, hearth, real estate, family, loyalty and Cancer’s own achilles heel, change.

The comfort and security of this New Moon is being challenged by erratic, unconventional Uranus in the youthful, pioneering sign of Aries. Cancer energy wants to cling to the past; Uranus in Aries clamors to move forward, annihilating the status quo. Disruption creates a new order.

Mars, planet of action and energy, and Mercury representing communications, siblings, and exuberant energy are also in Cancer, opposing transformative Pluto. It’s time to let go of the past, quit clinging to outmoded ideas, concepts, and habits. The future is here.

‘Why not jump on the Uranian bandwagon, Uncle Castor, and see if you can get a flat at Uranian Horizons,’ prods Kit. ‘You’re well on your way to becoming a bona fide eccentric, and at least you know the neighborhood. Could be your spry new neighbors may inspire a fresh outlook on life!’

‘Boohoo’, whimpers Castor. ‘I just want to stay put.’

33. Addressing the issues of the past

‘Who spilled the milk?,’ accuses Dad.

‘Leo did,’ tattles Jamie Gemini.

‘I did not,’ protests Leo, ‘quit accusing me.’

‘That isn’t my creamed spinach,’ grumbles Grannitaurus. ‘What nobody likes my creamed spinach anymore? Used to be you all griped if Grannitaurus didn’t make her famous spinach, now some imposter spinach shows up and...’

‘Who spilled this milk!’

‘Everybody blames me for everything around here,’ whines Leo, ‘one day I’m going to run away and you’ll all...

Wednesday’s Full Moon in Capricorn sheds light on childhood memories and their effects on the present day persona.

The Sun, our blossoming identity, in the nostalgic sign of Cancer invites us to reflect on our youth and the goings-on at the old homestead. The Sun is in close formation with aggressive, assertive Mars, illuminating buried rage and past hurtful behaviors.

The Moon, symbolic of our emotional roots, is in structured, status conscious Capricorn. Capricorn can be a rigid energy. It has a tendency to get sucked into depression and despair. The Moon, aided by probing Pluto, and opposing the Sun and Mars, is urging us to take a deep, introspective look at who we are and how we became that way. Pluto gives us the power, inclination and energy to tear down false fronts. If violence, addiction, bullying etc., was a factor in our upbringing, the Full Moon luminaries are compelling us to recognize how this has influenced our current behavior, and to alter our reaction patterns.

The ruler of this Full Moon, stable Saturn, echoes this mood, as it is currently revisiting regenerative Scorpio. It is time to take stock of who you have become. If you don’t like what you see, start implementing changes and correct behavioral anomalies. Both Cancer and Capricorn have strong persevering tendencies. It is possible to change.

Aiding in this dance of reinvention is Neptune, planet of vision and inspiration. Neptune, while diffusing the truth, sees situations in a unique, creative light. If therapy isn’t your thing transmute the pain into art. Draw, write, paint, or dance yourself into the next chapter of your life.

‘This is why I’m so selfish and egomaniacal,’ ahas Starrkitty, ‘I never got a word in edgewise. I’m repressing a boatload of guilt over that spilled milk and I passive aggressively sabotaged Grannitaurus creamed spinach. I’m a veritable hotbed of contradictions! Now for the cure.’

34. Inflamed Elocution

‘Where is your homework Andy,’ chastises schoolteacher Pollux. ‘You are not taking your seat without it.’

‘I don’t have it,’ admits Andy Aries, ‘and I’m not doing it. It’s too much. I’d rather skate. Fresh air and exercise is more important to me. I can’t spend hours a day boxed up in here with no outlet for adventure. That’s the way it is. I’ll take myself to the principal’s office.’

‘You’d better’, scolds Pollux, ‘You can write a 3 page essay on early childhood education while you wait. I mean it Andy, no excuses. If you have solid ideas on how to handle this issue I’d love to read them.’

There you have it. At least they both know where they stand. Tuesday’s New Moon in communicative Gemini highlights airing your opinions. This chatty Moon is closely aligned with passionate Mars. Mars in Gemini compels expressing your convictions, standing up for yourself and being a champion for younger folks. Issues regarding siblings, the neighborhood goings-on, the news, and education are likely to arouse heated comments and debates.

This New Moon is also square Chiron, the wounded healer. There is an opportunity to revisit some of the painful memories associated with childhood. Bridge gaps with siblings, apologize for hurtful exchanges, find inner survivor. Speak your mind.

‘I have plenty of ideas,’ retorts Andy, ‘none of which require missing key skate time.’

Did I mention Mars in Gemini likes the last word?

35. Delusions of Grandeur

‘As you all know,’ regales Starrkitty, ‘I’ve been deemed “the actress of all”. True it’s a heady sobriquet, but well-deserved. From Cleopatra to Calamity Jane, Medusa to Persephone I’ve owned every portrayal. Every nuance of my whiskers a revelation.Every arc of my tail a..’

‘Excuse me, Ms. Starrkitty,’ queries Jamie Gemini, ‘while you are undeniably a major talent and quite a charismatic character, don’t you feel this is overblown rhetoric even for you? I mean who exactly has given you this moniker?’

‘What role will you be tackling next Starr?,’ interrupts Sally Sagittarius. ‘Is it true you’re now the highest-paid feline actor?’

‘Naturally,’ quips Starr, ‘Not only do I receive unprecedented critical acclaim for my work, but I haul in the box office biz. The public adores me...’

STARRKITTY’S HEAD GROWS BIGGER AS SHE SPEAKS

Sad but true, the beloved Starrkitty of Selfies-A-Go-Go has started to believe her own press. At a press junket earlier today...

Tuesday’s Full Moon in Sagittarius highlights the hype. As the egocentric Sun, along with communicative Mercury and passionate Mars skip frenetically through the chatty sign of Gemini, tongues start wagging. Rumors, gossip, hyperbole run rampant. The Sagittarius Moon, however, quests for truth and knowledge. The dark side of Sagittarian energy is a tendency to proselytize. This Full Moon illuminates the disparity between fact and fiction. Nebulous Neptune, planet of delusion, confusion, and ethereal dreams, joins in the celestial drama, creating discordant aspects. What is real and what is imaginary? Who is spinning a yarn and why?

The ruler of this Full Moon, Jupiter, is steamrolling through egotistic Leo. Jupiter in Leo lusts for power, glory and fame. Jupiter demands to be noticed. In cahoots with offbeat Uranus in individualistic Aries there’s no telling what some cats will do to steal the thunder. A skeptical attitude might be prudent during this ambiguous Moon.

‘My next tour du force will be Eve in the musical ‘Under the Apple Tree’ directed by the cinematic genius Penelope Pisces. It’s destined to break all box office records.’

36. Refurbish

‘I hope that skylight is up to code,’ shouts Saturnian Sam.

‘Mind your own decor,’ retorts Kit. ‘That new color is a bit of an eyesore. Hope you verified chartreuse with the powers that be. Oh, that’s right. Patty Pluto, your half sister, is chairperson of the neighborhood beautification committee. Where do you all get your design inspiration from? I know it’s not from Lilith Libra.’

‘Quit the sassing Kit, or I will have Patty look into that skylight.

‘Relax Sam. Don’t fire up the neighborhood watch dogs yet. I assure you I’m up to snuff,’ responds Kit.

This New Moon in Taurus accents resources and possessions, especially those involving the homestead. Venus, the ruler of this New Moon, is currently lodged in the home-loving maternal sign of Cancer. Issues regarding home, children, comfort, food and real estate are all being highlighted.

Venus, however, is moving toward a frictional aspect with transformative Pluto in reputation concerned Capricorn. There is a definite ‘compete with the Capricorns’ vibe being bandied about. Pluto in turn, is in a stressed out angle with Jupiter in ostentatious Leo. Unfortunately, the ‘I want what you have but bigger and better’ philosophy is making a bit of a comeback. This new moon, while illuminating the dark side of envy, is reminding us to value what truly matters. Urging us not to get sucked into the rat race, it reminds us to enjoy the simple things that tranquil Taurus energy has to offer.

‘Hey Kit,’ queries Jamie Gemini, ‘what are you bringing to the pot luck tonight?’

‘Hmm, meat loaf and bundt cake. I actually do love that color,’ Kit confesses. ‘I wonder who mixes his paint.’

37. Who’s holding the strings?

‘You know the dance Andy,’ maneuvers Kit. ‘Two steps forward, one step back. Now for Lilith- feisty hop, wink, wiggle, rebuke, sashay, then lure in the bait. That should work nicely and I’ll have my settlement in no time.’

Kit’s got her master manipulator role down during this volatile and dramatic Full Moon. The Taurus Sun longs for comfort, ease and security. The Scorpio Moon hungers for emotional intensity, a smattering of revenge and an accessible bank account. Adding to the drama- larger than life Jupiter in Leo combats the luminaries. Leo craves center stage and in it egotistical Jupiter chews up the scenery. The curtain is up, the power players lurk in the wings, and the battle for control rages.

‘You know,’ Lilith Libra whispers, ‘I’ve always had a thing for tall orange stars.’

Today’s Full Moon in secretive Scorpio promises mystery, diabolical intrigue and behind the scenes power plays. But who’s manipulating who?

38. Quit holding up production!

‘I’m not coming out of my trailer unless my scene is re-written,’ demands Lola Leo.

Starrkitty wastes no time putting Lola in her place! ‘You’ll do this scene as written or Jamie Gemini takes over the role. I’ve had it up to here with your inane, nonsensical demands. This production has been mired in mud for too long. I’m raring to go with or without you. What’s it going to be Lola, do I yell for wardrobe or are you going to cooperate?’

This New Moon in action-packed Aries has a bit of a sluggish start to it. The ruler of this Moon, energetic Mars, is plodding through the earthy sign of Taurus, restraining its usually impulsive attributes. Adding to the stubbornness- Mars has been in conflict with bombastic Jupiter in egotistical Leo. Everybody wants to be the boss and have it their own way.

Luckily, Mars starts networking with transformative Pluto in another earth sign, commerce happy Capricorn. In earth signs, Pluto and Mars both agree to apply consistent, hard-working energy to the matters at hand. Profit is the bottom line. Time to get rolling!

‘Well Lola?’

‘Fine, I acquiesce, but I still think...’

39. Pot Luck

‘Yummy,’ oohs Lilith Libra, ‘what is that divine creation Castor?’

‘My upside down, inside out Luscious Lemon Meringue Roll finished with apricot coulis!’

‘And what have you got there Vinny d?’ Lilith inquires.

‘Fixins for my awesome tofu tomato arugala paninis with basil marinade.’

‘Athena?’

‘I brought the picnic blanket. Eating utensils and hand crafted pomegranite tea.’

What about Andy Aries? Did he bring anything?

‘His guitar,’ retorts Kit.

‘Outstanding,’ chortles Lilith. ‘So relieved no one came completely empty-handed.’

Saturday’s Full Moon in Libra highlights the disparity between selfishness and compromise, between what we desire for ourselves and how we conspire to meet the group’s objective. Out of balance, as the Sun, Mercury, and Uranus are in ‘me first’ Aries, the tendency is strong to have needs and desires met instantly.

The Libra Moon, however, invites us to consider the ‘other’. It is calling for middle ground, negotiation and concession. If willing to concede, there can be fruitful bounty for all.

This Full Moon has a very earthy tone as well. Squared by Pluto, in pragmatic Capricorn, this Moon is inviting us to look at our resources. Both Full Moon rulers, Venus and Mars are in earthy Taurus. Taurus wants peace, security and comfort. Taurus wants to enjoy all the sumptuous opulence life has to offer. Banding together and pooling resources can go along way toward achieving that goal.

‘Kit, what did you bring?’

‘Didn’t realize it was pot luck. Just bought cannoli for one.’

‘That’s ok Kit. We already have more than enough.’

40. Mind Body Connection

‘My mind is feeling the oneness with creation,’ muses Athena Aquarius, ‘but my body wants to cut-up with those crazy cats on the dance floor.’

‘I hear that,’ giggles Angela Aries, ‘there are plenty of different ways to turn off the volume.’

Friday’s New Moon in Pisces, while uber ethereal in theory, (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Chiron, and the New Moon ruler, Neptune itself, traversing through this nebulous sign) still maintains a highly physical component. Neptune, the planet
associated with elements of the divine, hope, and fantasy, is conflicted by its encounter with Saturn, planet denoting reality, hard work, and concrete manifestation. Neptune dreams and envisions. Saturn does.

This New Moon is inviting us to tune in, find the kernel that will inspire, then ignite Saturn and get down to the hard work of turning those dreams into a reality. The physical exhibition of this energy is echoed by Neptune’s cosmic frolic with her celestial body buddy Venus. Venus just entered the earth sign of Taurus, a sign where security, comfort, and peace are highly valued.

So tune into the void, let your mind wander and ideas take physical form.
‘I’ve got it,’ declares Athena, ‘I know what my next project will be. A photo journal of dancing feet!’

41. Community Service

‘Honestly Vesta,’ bellyaches Kit, ‘Can’t I just skedaddle? Sign the certificate, no one will know. A person of my stature shouldn’t be doing this type of thing unless it’s for a photo op.’

‘Commit the crime, pay the time Kit,’ retorts Vesta. ‘In my humble opinion, the authorities were too lenient with you. Your carbon pawprint extends from to Scheat to Spica. You’ve been shirking your global accountability for far too long. This is an opportunity for you to atone for your egregious misconduct.’

‘Quit scolding Vesta! What a bore. One day you’ll fall off that all-mighty high horse you’re perched upon and we’ll see how much sympathy you get from me!’

Thursday’s Full Moon in service oriented Virgo highlights the disparity between organization, moral fortitude and perfectionism, with disorder, idealism, and dreamy chaos. The Full Moon ruler, Neptune, ensconced in the imaginative, ethereal sign of Pisces, is at conflict with morally upright Saturn, lodged in philosophical Sagittarius. Issues regarding responsibility, accountability, and vision vs. reality are highlighted.

This Full Moon interacts with therapeutic Chiron, the wounded healer, offering the chance for redemption through serving others. Echoing the concept of community service is Mercury, the co-ruler of this Moon, situated in global conscious Aquarius. Any Pisces-Virgo activities such as group meditation, food banks, health clinics or hospice work could be beneficial.

‘Seriously Kit,’ admonishes Vesta. ‘Wait and see, at the end of the day, there’s no greater satisfaction than the pleasure of helping others.’

‘That’s what you think, you loopy Virgo. I’ll be the embodiment of sheer joy when my feet are up, I pop in a classic film, am sipping a nice bordeaux, and know that you are busy scouring the pots and pans.’

42. Universal Love

‘Do you think you can save it Mom?’
Leo’s in a bit of a panic. He’s neglected his favorite plant and now it’s gasping for life.
‘I hope so honey,’ his Mom retorts. ‘In my experience most living things respond to love and attention. If you shower them with care, respect, and a little nurturing they generally come around.’
That Athena Aquarius speaks from experience. ‘I’ve been accused of being detached and cerebral, but I’ve worked hard on being emotionally present and there are times when I’m actually empathetic and not just to a charitable cause.’

Wednesday’s New Moon in the last few minutes of Aquarius presents quite a cunundrum. Aquarius can be aloof, intellectual, focused and stubborn. It focuses on inventiveness and problem solving. As this Moon quickly morphs into ethereal Pisces there is a shifting of energy. While Aquarius substantiates its knowledge, Pisces absorbs the call for subtlety, nuance, and transcendence.

The modern ruler of this New Moon, Uranus, the tumultuous rebel, is in a very tight square with Pluto. Uranus’ aim is to annihilate that which is not authentic, Pluto works toward transformation. Change is inevitable.

Neptune, the modern ruler of Pisces, is also in a tight square with the traditional ruler of this Aquarius New Moon, Saturn. Saturn is concrete, substantial. Neptune elusive, imaginative. There is an opportunity to blend these energies and work towards manifesting that which is presently fantasy. The problem lies in identifying what is real and of value, and what is an aimless pipe dream.

As Mercury has been retrograding through Aquarius since early January, there has been a lot of rethinking, reworking, and reexamining political, scientific, and global concerns. Mercury doesn’t jump on the poetic Pisces band wagon until March 12, just in time for the last exact Pluto-Uranus square. As Mercury winds down his yearly visit in the sign of technology, we’re inundated with endless stories of hacking, disregard for privacy, and corporate hoggery. Hopefully, this New Moon with a toe in Pisces heralds a time of compassion, love, and forgiveness.

‘Look Mom, it’s responding already!’

‘Um, I had a feeling it would. From now on Leo, pay more attention to it.’

‘Thank you! I’m humbled by your adoration. While it’s true my interpretation of a feral cat’s arduous journey from Aldebarran to Regulus was inspired, you wouldn’t have seen it without the help of my makeup and lighting people. The director also offered some input. So kudos to my crew. I’d also like to thank my inner child for infusing me with fertile imagination and my soulful eyes for...’

Tuesday’s Full Moon in dramatic, egotistical Leo is being amplified by the presence of a magnanimous, but boastful Jupiter. Jupiter in Leo is no sniveling wallflower and has no qualms about tooting his own horn. Leo loves to shine and has no patience for humility. The urge to hog the spotlight is strong.

On the other hand, the Sun in team-oriented Aquarius is illuminating the fact that it often takes a village’s help for an individual to sparkle. Community, cooperation and sharing the workload can jumpstart an endeavor.

Uranus, the co-ruler of this Full Moon is making very nice aspects to both the Sun in philanthropic Aquarius and the Moon-Jupiter union in egocentric Leo. Uranus is currently transiting individualistic, hot-headed Aries. Aries energy likes to brave new frontiers and challenge itself to overcome fears. Aries is a go-getter, they want to initiate new beginnings.

Complicating matters, Mercury, Uranus little buddy, and planet of mental stimuli is currently retrograding in the intellectual, genius-like sign Aquarius. Clearly, the emphasis of this Full Moon is on invention, creativity and production.
With Merc retro in this sign it could be time to review plans, swallow pride and ask for assistance? Use your charisma and get your projects off the ground!

‘Last but not least, I’d like to thank my zillions of fans. Don’t despair. My next stellar performance is in the editing room now!’

44. Aquarius New Moon-Step up to the plate!

‘Sal,’ coaches Colly Capricorn, ‘I can’t help but notice you hit with an open stance. I prefer a square stance, but I’ll try to work with your style.’
‘Cool,’ agrees Sally, ‘I can’t see the ball so well like that. I’m way more comfortable open.’
‘O.k, Then I’d like you to try and relax your grip. I think you’re choking up a bit much, tilt your shoulders a little, add a slight bend to your knees. Let’s give that a whirl for starters kid.’
Tuesday’s New Moon in Aquarius is inviting us to step up to the plate. Aquarius is the sign of vision, logic, humanitarianism, and global concerns. Its ruler, offbeat, eccentric Uranus is currently transiting the sign of Aries, a sign concerned with youthful, exuberant energy and fresh concepts. Uranus in a tight conjunction with the Aries South Node, is encouraging us to let go of Aries primary bugaboo, fear and disapproval. Uranus also happens to be in a tight square with transformative Pluto, causing dissension with the status quo. Change is inevitable.
The New Moon itself is is getting support from its traditional ruler Saturn, planet of maturity, discipline, and responsibility. Newly nested in optimistic, philosophical Sagittarius, Saturn is compelling us to look towards the future. Where will we be as a planet in a few years time? Share your wisdom. It’s time to help the younger generation uncover their unique gifts and talents and blossom as unique individuals.
‘Thanks coach, I appreciate it,’ winks Sally, ‘Now let me try and send it soaring.’

45. Full Moon in Cancer-A great place to visit...

‘Mother’s homestead up for sale. It can’t be true! How could I have let this happen? Maybe I should move in myself or rent it out. Even though I couldn’t bear to see anyone else living in mother’s home.’

‘You can’t live in two places or hold onto things forever Castor,’ consoles Starrkitty. ‘Be realistic. It’s time to let it go.’

Sunday’s Full Moon in sensitive, hearth loving Cancer packs quite an emotional wallop! The Moon is opposing both the Sun and Pluto in parental Capricorn, stirring up buried feelings and memories. It’s tempting to fall prey to nostalgia, or fear of the unknown, but Pluto invites us to confront our demons and eradicate that which has outlived its usefulness.

This Moon also squares Uranus in trailblazing Aries. It’s time to say good-bye to old habits and behaviors which are curtailing our advancement. The Moon is also in frictional aspect with her nodes. People or events may trigger sudden revelations. This Cancer Moon invites us to heal old wounds, but urges us to move forward. Don’t get sucked into old dramas.

Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn has just moved into optimistic, horizon broadening Sagittarius. Mercury and Venus have scooted into independent, detached Aquarius, provoking a more cerebral, less guttural perspective. It’s time for a new lease on life!

‘Reluctantly, I must concur Kit,’ admits Castor. ‘It hurts, but I have to say good-bye.’

46. Who’s the boss?

‘This is the way I see it,’ extolls Starrkitty, ‘Education is of paramount importance. If people don’t feel safe in their respective institutions...’

‘I have some ideas,’ interrupts Lola Leo, ‘I’d like for the group to hear.’

‘This isn’t an open forum Lola,’ admonishes Kit. ‘I’ve worked out a plan in detail that will provide...’

‘The rabble-rousers start to chime in. ‘Let’s hear what Lola has to say.’ ‘Kit, under your leadership, there’s been mayhem, brou-hahas and pandemonium.’ ‘The education system is a disaster!’ ‘Time for new concepts and plans!’

The New Moon in Capricorn brings attention to structure, form and responsibility. The ruler of Capricorn, Saturn, is on the verge of changing signs. Saturn in Scorpio impelled us to delve into unsavory topics. Nefarious shenanigans were exposed left and right: spying, hacking, fracking, the mistreatment of women in college universities.

Saturn’s transit of Scorpio invited us to ferret out the dark secrets, take a realistic look at what needs to be done, and embark on healing the wounds. As Saturn moves into optimistic Sagittarius, the emphasis will be on truth-finding, building higher ideals and aspirations, and global initiatives. Saturn is leaving a tense aspect with big-cheese Jupiter. As Saturn will be moving into Sagittarius, Jupiter, the planet associated with Sag, will be influencing it.

Jupiter, situated in energetic, creative Leo, although in retrograde motion, should be concocting fresh initiatives to deal with some of these dilemmas. The answers can come from some new and exciting voices.

‘Simmer down everybody,‘ cries Kit. ‘I doubt Lola has anything of value to say, but I’m certainly willing to listen.’

The old guard never goes willingly.

47. Better the foot slip than the tongue!

‘The Orion Oriole,’ instructs Pollux, ‘manages to stay camouflaged in deciduous areas, he typically hunches his shoulders as he searches for prey. His drawn out chirping call is decidedly pronounced...’

‘Listen up,’ brags Starrkitty, ‘My latest show is sensational. You simply must...’

‘Have you read the latest Franzen,’ blurbs Jamie Gemini, ‘I couldn’t put it down. The dialogue is crackling, the..

‘You can’t be serious,’ interrupts Leora Leo, ‘I loathe that drivel. If you want to read something with substance, I can’t get my nose out of the Hillary Mantel. Historical fiction, intrigue, skullduggery...’

Whew! Saturday’s Full Moon in curious Gemini packs a chatty punch! The typical Gemini Moon is fun-loving and friendly. It loves to learn, communicate, flirt, and tease. However, this Full Moon’s ruler Mercury, is sitting next to the Sun in shoot from the hip, frank, Sagittarius. Mercury in Sag, can add to the foot in mouth condition this sign is famous for.

Mercury is also in conflict with Chiron in sensitive Pisces. There may be old wounds awakened regarding words, phrases, childhood nicknames and the like. Joyful banter can get misconstrued. It might be too easy to get carried away with opinions, discourses and philosophies. Some folks may be a tad prickly.

Adding to the sense of exaggerated self-importance and inflated blustering is Jupiter in the kingly sign of Leo. The Sun in Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter wants to have the last word, paragraph or novelette. There can be real issues with this Full Moon about being heard.

Luckily, this Moon is in lively aspect with wild, unpredictable, brilliant Uranus in Aries. This can prove to be most illuminating with flashes of genius, sparkling wit and bursts of mental and physical energy.

‘Is anyone listening to me!‘ wails Starrkitty.

Listening. The secret to this moon.

‘Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.’

49. How much is too much?

‘These numbers are settling up nicely! If I adjust these figures here, merge this account to holdings on Aldebarran and divert these funds to my off-shore investments on Antares, I’ll have the security to purchase that slice of heaven hideaway by Dschubba! Delightful!’

Or is it? Thursday’s Full Moon in resource obsessed Taurus illuminates the pervasive disease greed. One of this months Full Moon rulers, Venus, sits in Scorpio, wedged between the Sun and Saturn. Scorpio is a sign concerned with wealth, most notably wealth belonging to others. Venus loves luxury. She wants to be the one enjoying the fruit of proletariat labors. Nestled next to discipline oriented Saturn and opposite the nurturing Moon, Venus may be subjected to a wake up call regarding gluttony.

The Sun in Scorpio is also shedding light on banking, investments, property and resources. Scorpio’s ruling planet Pluto, is in Capricorn making favorable aspects to both the Sun and Moon. Pluto in earthy Capricorn is demanding us to look at our resources, both natural and man-made in a searing light. The action oriented planet Mars, is sneaking up on Pluto and ready to confront revolutionary Uranus. The planet is grumbling. Something’s ready to give.

This Full Moon in nature loving Taurus is inviting us all to take responsibility for this beautiful planet. All the money in the world is worthless if there’s nowhere to live.

‘Hmmn,’ muses Kit, ‘now that I dwell upon it, I think I’ll invest this in an alternative for oil and vacation on the old homestead in the Pleiades. It’s very cozy.’

50. Scorpio New Moon-Oh, What a tangled web...

“What in blazes is going on around here,” fumes Leo. “My best friend and my best gal!”

Leo is hopping mad and fit to be tied!

“Get a grip, Leo,” insists Andy Aries. “We’re just sharing an innocent skate and an ice cream cone. Nothing to get in a snit over.”

“Yeah,” admits Sally Sag, “A skate and a cone. What’s the big idea acting all controlling and possessive? Bad Pluto transit?”

‘Arrgh! That’s not what it looks like to me,” protests Leo, “You two look pretty darn cozy for two adventurous fire signs. I think you’ve been sweet on each other for awhile!”

Leo could be on to something! Thursday’s New Moon Solar Eclipse in secretive Scorpio may illuminate some repressed passions and yearnings. Venus, planet of love, is in close proximity to this New Moon. Venus just completed her yearly tour of relationship oriented Libra. Mercury, planet of communication, friendship and flirtation started retrograding in penetrating Scorpio, where it may have been stung by the passionate scorpion. When Mercury and Venus rendezvoused in Libra last week, romantic feelings may have been awakened or rekindled. Coupled with Neptune, planet of illusion and delusion involved, it’s possible even the players in this melodrama may be in the dark.

To top it off, transformational Pluto, the New Moon ruler, is tightening his aspect with hot-headed Uranus in Aries. If Andy does own up to his feelings for Sally, -look out!- all-hell or an old-fashioned duel my erupt!
