Not too bad, Chicago comic con. Marvel and DC couldn't make it, but that's ok. An energy drink company and Gillette razors were there to step in! Will Wizard World be around next year? Yikes! Much like everything else, it's not where you are, it's who you're with. And lucky for me I got A+ pals that make it out to Chicago every year to set things right. Chicago Comic con in a few words is laughs, sad wrestlers, hotels, bootlegs, sweating, weird cosplay, drawing, scary bathrooms, mini comics, steak fajitas, inside jokes, shaking hands, GOOD TIMES.
I bought three things.
1. "Micky Mouse Adventure" book from Gemstone publishing.
2. Cooking Manga, "Oishinbo: Ramen and Gyoza."
3. Tim Sievert's "The Intrepideers", amazing work!!
A HUGE THANKS to everyone who bought my mini comic "Milky Way Shuffle" at the convention too. I was overwhelmed by all the kind words. I met a lot of new friends!!
This weekend I'll be floating around Wizard World Chicago. Duck and dodge the sad retired wrestlers and visit the artists in the back. Why buy "she hulk toys", when you can purchase mini comics? Sunday night, dinner at our favorite Mexican place (the best part about the convention). Hope to see you there! Oh yeah, don't forget, everyone needs to wash their hands, early and often!
I just wanted to post a quick Thank You to everyone who purchased my mini comic, "Milky Way Shuffle". It warms my beefy little heart knowing people enjoy my hard work. Thanks, Chicago, London, Melbourne, Oslo, Toronto, Montreal, Austin, Portland, Knoxville, and many others!
