Ann Coulter has landed a book deal with Penguin Group’s Sentinel imprint, scheduled to publish an unnamed book “directly relevant to the presidential election” in October.
William Morris Endeavor agent Mel Berger negotiated the deal with Sentinel publisher Adrian Zackheim. The book’s subject will remain “confidential for now,” according to the release.
Jason Pinter added some context to the move: Coulter had previously published her work with Random House’s Crown Forum imprint.

Comedian and author Bill Cosby will write another book. I Didn’t Ask To Be Born, But I’m Glad I Was will be published in November by Hachette Book Group’s Center Street imprint.
WME agents Norman Brokaw and Mel Berger negotiated the deal. Rolf Zettersten acquired the book and senior editor Kate Hartson will edit. The book will cover his first date, misbehaving grandchildren and the Bible. Cosby has written a number of books, including Fatherhood and Cosbyology. In the video embedded above, he introduces his own smartphone app.
Here’s more from the release: “Cosby revists the Bible for the first time since his famous Noah routine. This time he discusses how God worked with Adam to name 50,000 species… They must have had a wonderful time. ‘If you look at some of the animal names I believe there’s proof that God woke Adam up and Adam was startled.’”

Glee star Jane Lynch has inked a deal to publish a “funny and inspirational memoir” with Hyperion’s Voice imprint. Mel Berger at William Morris Endeavor represented the book and editorial director Barbara Jones acquired the book in an auction. Jill Schwartzman will edit the memoir.
Happy Accidents will come out in September, following the arc of the actress’ career–from her time in The Second City comedy group to her work in Christopher Guest mocumentaries. It will also explore how “embracing her sexuality helped her find both personal and professional joy.”
In the release, Lynch (pictured, via) had this statement: “If I could go back in time and have a conversation with my 18-year-old self, the first thing I’d say is, ‘Lose the perm.’ Second, I would say, ‘Relax. Really—just relax. Don’t sweat it.’ For a long time, I was anxious and fearful that the parade would pass me by, and that someone or something outside myself had all the answers. Having finally reached a happy place—a happy accidents place—I want to share my story with others, to let them know things aren’t as bad as they fear.”
