I received an e-mail from Jeff earlier today, roundly telling me off – he said

Why am I learning about your "One Mile From Home" site on Drawn??? That is fantastic!
Would you please post some information about it on SFG? I want SFG to be a place that people can share news and important events, along with great artwork.
So, just so you know, I have a day job as a self-employed graphic designer, and I'm also a mother of 4, so blogging was my one opportunity to produce drawings and illustrations for my own pleasure. However a year or so of it was leading to that problem 'blogger's bum'. Anyway to force myself out the door to do at least a little exercise in April 2006 I set myself the 'One mile from home' challenge where I had to walk at least a mile from home, record the walk with a sketch or some kind of art and return home, every day, for a year. It was a fascinating experience, where more importantly, apart from getting fitter, it helped me through a long period of depression due to the death of my mother a couple of months in. I've made some very good on-line friends (some who joined me) through the exercise and many of them have said that they would love a book of the project, so at the moment I'm working on producing a book which I'm hoping I can get ready for print in a couple of months time (it has to fit around everything else). Hope that'll do Jeff!
