1. Working on an epic sketch…

I usually try to keep things simple. I like simple. Simple appeals to me.
So why am I working on such a busy piece? I have no idea, but I can't help myself.
It just won't go away, so what choice do I have? I am really excited to start painting it, though.

Wish me luck.

5. Oscar Armelles - Fyling man

Here is one of the latest illustrations I created. I'm sure loads of people that live in a big city feel like that at 8am in the morning on their way to work. The same illustration in landscape was used for an online magazine for creatives as their landing page.

I've been very, very busy doing some great work for Specsavers (soon to be seen) so I've not been doing much else, but now that the project is finish I'll be able to post more work here. :)

8. Tis the season

What a fun drawing to do for my first post. I thought I would have a little fun with the frog. Since the holidays are near, this seemed appropriate. I did the drawing in pencil then transferred it to the computer to color it digitally.

9. A Little Elf Magic

It looks like I couldn't make up my mind between doing a woodland sprite and one of Santa's toy makers . . . so I split the difference! Who says a magical sprite can't make presents too?!

10. Road Kill Hats

They have to be used for something. You can't eat them and why throw them away. It's recycling isn't it?

It's the 3 B's, a bear, a bunny and a beaver.

13. The White Stripes

Howdy y'all,

It's been quite a long time since I posted anything. That's mainly because for a long time it seemed like editor bogged down every time I tried to save anything. Thought I'd give it a shot again. Here's a digital painting I did recently of Jack and Meg White of the White Stripes. This is all Photoshop. About 5 hours from start to finish.

16. SFG: Fish!

I found this image laying around on my computer not even being put to use ... but how perfect for the week's topic. The original drawing was done in Flash, but I added texture and played with desaturation in Photoshop.

20. Chessington World of Adventures Map Illustration

I recently completed the 2009 visitor's site map for the Chessington World of Adventures theme park. It was pretty labour intensive & challenging involving site visits & lots of photo reference. It had to be an accurate representation of the park & rides, while being easy to use as navigation for the guests.

21. Mini Whale

I was inspired to create this illustration using my whale character by a poem, "Mini Whale" by Carrie Heyes. You can view her reading the poem in this video clip. Haven't had a chance to work on this week's challenge, but I'd thought you like to see my latest.
