1. First Man On and In the Moon

The Man in the Moon. Neil Armstrong. July, 1969. Still an incredible moment. Always an incredible moment.

I've never been a technology geek so my emotional attachment to this historical event is purely one of awe, of the impossible come true. Something, I think, that we all have to believe can be achieved.

A reluctant hero, but a hero all the same. Thank you, Mr. Armstrong. You're my Man in the Moon.

More musings on the subject at Bronson Hill Arts.

4. To Be Contin-Chooed

Before I bombarded myself with work:  Trains!

What is it with boys and fast toys? You can’t comb its hair, you can’t put dolls in it…it just goes round and round and you dont even get to ride it..well you can, but it probably wont run any more.  Much like the time daddy got me a flying toy airplane when I was 4. I thought it if I sat on it, it would fly me to my dad who was out of the country at the time…I sat on it….it flew no moresigh.

Subtle juxtapositions always makes me smile. I wanted to post up this little guy since I probably won’t be able to finish him on time for MA’s deadline. Booness. Sorry kid. Ill get back to you as soon as I can.

7. Monday Art Day

I drew a cute bunny in a field of flowers, but my husband suggested a Playboy Bunny, so I attempted that. What do you think.

8. LadyStar Video Alert! Keiko Matsui’s “Wildflower”

Jessica Hoshi a cheerful and optimistic girl

“Keiko-sensei is the best. She has so many albums and has great saxophone players on almost all of them. My favorite solo is the one from “Souvenir” and also the one from “Light in the Rain” and I can play them both on my alto and on my tenor. We’re gonna add her site to our Fun Places to Visit List ’cause she’s one of our favorite musicians. Ja!”

9. everybody needs a friend

Grab the sick bag quick!!!! Yes, I know, I'm feeling nauseous myself. This stylish, understated object was a souvenir from a trip to Annecy. The aim of the day was to find the tackiest piece of tat possible. I WIN!!! There is a lot of tat in Annecy as Felicity can vouch for in her post on this beautiful town. This is a pot of beaver cocktail sticks. I don't know what the connection between beavers and Annecy is and, quite frankly, I don't think I want to know. This piece is hand finished in beautiful resin (the plastic kind). Charming, I'm sure you'll agree.
