Monday is a great day to say thanks and report nice news... THAT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! is spending it's 2nd week on the New York Times Bestseller list at #5 and the Indie Bestseller list at #6! Here's a nice review of THAT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! in Bookpage. I'm excited to report that GOLDILOCKS & THE THREE DINOSAURS is a finalist for a Kentucky Bluegrass Award, which will be voted on by kids

A nice big box just arrived at Knuffle Manor chock full of the UK/Ireland/Australia/NewZealand edition of DON'T LET THE PIGEON FINISH THIS ACTIVITY BOOK! and the Complex Chinese editions of tons of new Elephant and Piggie Books! Thanks to everyone who came out to the appearances in New York (including pal Julianne Moore who read an Elephant & Piggie book with me) to celebrate the Pigeon's 10th Birthday. It was also great to bump into, play petanque with, then do an appearance with Herve Tullet in the NYC. I'm settling in from a fun visit to the UK, which included seeing pals, visiting with students, reading at bookstores, discovering museums, and driving around London in a double decker bus with the Pigeon puppet & freaking out pedestrians. Not sure when they'll notice this... Such fun!  Thanks to Walker books for their efforts in making the trip a grand success. A devoted fan in London.

Turns out that GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE DINOSAURS has been awarded the Sid Fleischman Award for Humor by SCBWI! What a great thing for there to even be an award for humor and what a greater thing that it be named after humorist Sid Fleischman and what an even greater thing that, somehow, Goldilocks managed to be recognized. I recently joined a group of "celebrity" judges (including pals & neighbors Tony DiTerlizzi and Jarret Kroscoczka) to look at a slew of awesome stories written by kids from across the country for PBS KIDS.
