I thought, after a bit of a hike in responsibility level at my day job, I'd do something fun & breezy to chillax (I said it). And what could be easier than a self portrait? Lots of things are, especially when you've not looked at yourself properly for a bit & you forgot how mad you look.
& yes, I think ginger jokes are funny, because if I took myself as seriously as some people did I'd be as insane as I am sure I look. This is my fave ginger joke after the brou-ha-ha that was 'gingers don't have souls' farce. Because it was a farce. Only now I've let you in on the truth. We have many souls, just how many of them are our own is unconfirmed.

Fairy Redhead Girl and Husky Puppy is a cute painting of a little redheaded fairy and her adorable canine companion. Every dreamy-eyed girl needs a lovable pup. She is wearing a green dress and she has curly red hair. She has her hand around a little husky dog. I have to of my favorite things in this painting: Huskies and fairies. Also I’m redhead so I guess just painted myself with my dream dog.
This Print is 8 1/2″ x 11″ with a white 1″ inch border around the image for easy framing. Printed on high quality archival Epson ink jet paper. It comes unframed. Beautiful vibrant colors. Looks even better in person than on screen.

Looking Back
As always, I am grateful for comments. So far, I have received the most responses to my post on the death of the adverb. One of our correspondents notes that students in creative writing tend to put adverbs at the beginning of the sentence, as in “Happily, she met her boyfriend at the mall.” Sorrowfully, I have also noticed this mannerism, and not only in students’ stories. The adverb, nearly wiped out by morphology in American English, is doing “just fine” in syntax. For instance, the authors of scholarly publications love the word undoubtedly; they use it when arguments are weak and doubt exists. Obviously, certainly, and definitely serve the same purpose. Actually has become the bane of our life. (more…)
cute!
We will have to see if mine do this. I cut my own hair when I was 6, chopped off a spike in the middle of my head, just before I was in a wedding. Proud day for my mom.
Very adorable. I must confess, I still sometimes cut my own hair. This is a great addition to your portfolio.
Love this Laura!
