Try adding a tag yourself by clicking "Add a tag" below a post's header. Scroll down through the list of Recent Posts in the left column and click on a post title that sounds interesting. You can view all posts from a specific blog by clicking the Blog name in the right column, or you can click a 'More Posts from this Blog' link in any individual post.

Here's two more sleeping animal spreads for November's theme, SLEEP. I feel like a lot of us Americans will need a long nap after this election season. Thanks for taking a look and please check out my

November's theme is SLEEP. There's nothing like a sleeping baby or getting illustrations turned in for an upcoming book. This is from
Baby on Board, by
Marianne Berkes, published by
Dawn Publications and illustrated by me, Cathy Morrison. Now it's time to get a little sleep.
There's more images from this book, including free downloadable activity sheets at my
Studio With A View Blog.
Happy November!
This illustration is being used for the fall

This Land Is Your Land by Catherine Ciocchi, published by Arbordale Publishing, and illustrated by me, Cathy Morrison |
December's theme is WINTER! So here's a wintery scene from
This Land Is Your Land which came out early 2015. The author is
Catherine Ciocchi and the book is about exploring the Earth with land forms.
A hill slopes up above the ground.
The rounded top looks like a mound.
Rolling hills are what you see
when they are in a group of three.
November's theme is FAMILY, so here's my illustrated spread showing the cat family. This is for
Over on the Farm which will feature ten animal families living on the farm. It comes out spring 2016, is written by Marianne Berkes, illustrated by
me and published by Dawn Publications.
Thanks for taking a look and Happy November!

October's themed word is ORANGE. I'm posting this image from
Wild Ones, Critters in the City because the girl calling her lost dog is wearing an ORANGE shirt.
This book comes out Spring 2016, is written by Carol Malnor, published by Dawn Publishing and illustrated by me,
Cathy Morrison.
Orange you glad I didn't say banana?

If You Love Honey by Martha Sullivan, illustrated by Cathy Morrison |
August's word-of-the-month is "Picnic" and I just happened to have an image that relates. This book comes out in a couple of weeks and while I wouldn't say it was a picnic to illustrate it, I can say I totally enjoyed researching and illustrating it. The publisher is
Dawn Publications!
Here's an early and very nice review by Sue Poduska with
