2. Book Cover Design...

And now something altogether different...

Investigative journalist, Amber Blake, is a little person bent on payback for the death of her average-sized twin sister. Enlisted by her former partner and estranged husband, Evan, she poses as a counselor in an abortion clinic to expose the doctor responsible for fetal harvesting. As a Christian, she struggles with concealing her beliefs to maintain her cover, while the doctor's romantic overtures tumble her stomach. Amber agrees to date him for the sake of the story . . . but nothing prepares her for what's behind a mysterious door in his office. coming soon from author, Deborah Piccurelli.

Two cover sketches: the first, (Amber) looks too young, so we changed
her hairstyle and made her face more angular. The second  sketch was a bit too graphic in style so finished are is a combination of textures and some graphic elements.

5. Winding Down

“Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why.”
― Kurt Vonnegut

The year winds down... and so do these covers. Before we pause to reflect on the year, let us pause and reflect on time, as seen in (and on) book covers.

6. No Lies

Carol sent me this adorable cover and suggested I do a spread on Pinocchio jackets. As a result, this week's JacketKnack post will be eleven and a half pages long because there are soooooo many Pinocchio covers to choose from. I found dozens upon dozens of renditions of this little wooden boy. Without further ado, here's Pinocchio...
