Mike Curato is about to take over New York. Little Elliot is an elephant who is trying to make his home in the big city. However, being small makes it hard for him to do everyday city things. He even gets ignored when he tries to buy a cupcake. Then he meets a mouse who is facing the same problem. Elliot knows just the right thing to help the mouse. The next day the mouse is able to help Elliot. In helping each other they become friends.
