I realised I completely skipped these pages from my sketchbook. I did these whilst my kids were beading. I messed around with the first image with mixed media on the second page by photocopying the image and layering over it. I could have done a whole series of images from the one sketch really. I have been collecting boxes lately to test out the brown backing for sketches. I have always loved sepia drawings and using a coloured surface such as this enables me to use white pencil also. I did these two drawings from ice-cream and muesli bar boxes. I intend on taking these scanned sketches into Photoshop for some work at a later stage. It just goes to show that you can use anything

Our little people (children) feel so small at times. Take the time to stop and notice them. Eye contact is a communication skill we all need to adopt more. When a child has your full attention it says "You are important to me, more important than anything else"
