Mary Hooper is a very popular writer for children and young adults. No such book! Everyone has different tastes, likes, wants, needs.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Vanilla
If you could meet one person who has died who would you choose?
My mum.
One food you would never eat?
Fried eggs

Getting letters saying I had turned girls into readers when they had never before finished a novel.
If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world.. which would it be?
Very happy in my own world, thanks. Oh, ok, if you really want me to, I would go up the Magic Faraway Tree and live in the Land of Birthdays.
What was your favorite book when you were a child/teen?
Just William (Richmal Crompton)
If you could choose only one time period and place to live, when and where would you live and why?
Restoration London - after the Great Fire - and as long as I was very rich indeed.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
London. I would have a flat with a balcony overlooking the Thames near Tower Bridge.
What is your favorite Quote?
You are responsible for your own happiness.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
A mummy.
How did you know you should become an author?
When I sold the first short story I ever wrote.
Can you see yourself in any of your characters?
There's a little bit of me in all of them, and a little bit of them in me.
Hidden talent?
I have been racking my brains about this...I can crochet - does that count?

I wonder if Ms. Hooper is referring to Cadbury's Fruit and Nuts - because that's one of my favorite candy bars, ever! :) And I love how she chooses to take an entire "library" with her - that's funny!

Fallen Grace sounds like a good book. I'm glad that you recognize that there is no one book everyone should read, that each person has different tastes and needs.
This is the first I have heard of this book and it sounds like one I would enjoy. A library on a desert island - a woman after my own heart.
