I did a rough sketch of Hervé Villechaize for this weeks "Tattoo" theme. I brought it into PS to try and spruce it up a bit...had some fun playing with textures and filters after seeing a really terrific wedding caricature done by Sam Gorrie!!

A while back I did a caricature of a fellow artist's daughter. Recently he sent me a photo of the drawing tattooed on his arm. Coolness!!
an oldie, but goodie.
colored pencil and ink.
and we're there on haight, waiting for hours while she gets her stars.
and its like shes been tattooed on my heart as surely as the stars on her waist were.
i had hoped, i had, do wish that this would have faded, passed with time but i still find myself trying not to wonder where she is.
its been five years since we've spoken and i still miss the way she smells.
well in the long run at least i can hope that this is hopefully temporary.

This week's theme: Tattoo.
A little early this week as I'm not going to be around on Thurday to post the update. For more on that, check out my blog. Feel free to continue to post your SFG: Bugs entries as you see fit.
For you newcomers, the SFG Challenge runs Thursday to Thursday, and was created to offer every member an opportunity to stretch their creative muscles and post their interpretations on a specific theme. It's a lot of fun!
Be sure to label your illustrations with the appropriate labels as well. I prefer you label your entries with your name or screenname, and the challenge label, SFG: Tatoo.
Remember, this is a completely voluntary challenge designed solely to stimulate creativity and promote participation. Please don't hesitate to post your other work as normal.
Be sure to check out and get involved over at the SFG Forum, some great stuff going on over there every day.
The Blank Book Project is underway, I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out! So exciting! A special thank you to all participants, this is going to be so much fun! Track the progress and view updates on the Blank Book's journey by logging on to the Blank Book website.

The next challenge begins Thursday, September 13th, 2007.
Challenge yourselves SFG'ers and have a great week!

It never ceases to amaze, how tactile your digital is...
oooh what a fun piece!...
Beautiful job. This has such a nice feel.
I agree with Jim, I love how evocative your images are. So tell me, was this an original piece for the challenge or an existing piece? I love it regardless. LOL I just wondered.
Thanks for the comments. This was an original piece. I loved the theme, any chance to use a carnival in an illustration.
