Nicole Ainsworth’s husband, Steve, has a premonition of his death and moves his family to a mountain community where he serves as a deputy sheriff. He is killed in the line of duty and his wife, Nicole, is left behind to struggle with the changes forced upon her life. While trying to cope with her grief, raise her two little girls, her husband’s spirit visits her on numerous occasions. She soon learns that someone else is watching over her too.

Being a writer myself, I have often wondered how crossing from one genre to another would affect my readers. I'm not yet published, but I suspect I will find out someday. Good luck on your romance. It sounds interesting.

I do want to give one change in the contest, it's the person who leaves a comment on the MOST blogs who will be a character in my next Rocky Bluff P.D. novel. I could never use everyone who leaves a comment or the book would have way too many characters.

Helen, when I did my in-person book launch, all the same fans who buy my mysteries showed up--plus a few new ones. As for reviews, I'm getting them from people who have read my mysteries too.

Any blog where Morgan Mandel hangs out is always one I check. Loved reading your post today, Marilyn, and your book sounds like a great read.
I believe a little of our own lives are woven in our stories, and sometimes I find my stress lessens if I have my character get angry and throw things around. *lol*

Actually, Margot, I began writing romance--historical family sagas. My first mystery was a much a romance as it was a mystery. I wrote this one about fifteen or more years ago. But I always have a little romance in all my mysteries.
I enjoyed reading Lingering Spirit and will write a review once I finish the blog book tour class that I believe you took earlier, Marilyn!
