3. What do you guys think?

Hi there! Enrique Mochales, a writer friend of mine- lend me a story in order to illustrate it: The writer that laid a novel.

Enrique says that a writer is like a chicken that lays novels. One night the writer in the story worked a lot in order to write a very good novel but after he did it, he felt asleep over the table. After that, he dreamed that a giant hand lifted the ceiling and took the novel off. In the morning the novel was gone.

I worked slowly during three weeks in this illo, and I think it is my very first illo, for real. I'm thinking about made some more for create a portfolio and searching for a rep. What do you think? I need your sincere opinion :)

5. Who doesn't love her?

Emila is by far one of the sweetest and more talented girls in the Illo's virtual world. Her picture surprised me a lot, because I'm more familiarized with Norah's face. It happened to me the same with Zime, Jennifer and Zari; au contraire that Mike, Michelle and Colleen, who are exactly the same as their avatars ;)

This challenge has been awesome to me, I've managed to find some extra time for making these little tributes. I hope you like them. I enjoyed doing them a lot!

16. My very first experience in Montreal

Some moments of the process (click to see it bigger)

I'm very happy as I made the first work as illustrator in Montreal. I was a volunteer for the Expo 3R, the closing activity in the Waste Reduction Week of Canada. That was the main reason I was so far from here, guys... I missed you all, but, it worth it! I'm so happy :D

I made some illos for seven pair of doors. At the beginning they were sketched by hand, scanned and vectorized in order to project them on the doors and finally, I finish them by hand with charcoal and water paint.

These are some of the illos vectorized:

Expo 3R 2007: your entry door into solutions!

Waste: residual material.

Reduction: the best waste is the one we don't produce.

Reusing before recycling.

Reducing, reusing, recycling and recomposing.

Which is the most dangerous animal when we talk about waste?

Recycling is fun; recomposing is easy. I never ended the digital version of this one :p

I know it's not a professional work, I am so far from being a professional... but I'm on my way, so I'm happy!
