Interesting. Thank goodness it's not something I've ever experienced, but now I know what it is, there is definitely a sense of the horror of it captured here. The images feel grim, weighty, severed, with overtones of turture...

I really love the style on this one. It reads a bit differently than your usual woodcut type things, more primitive.
