I was so excited when Mike R Baker told me that I'd "Made his day" via my blog. This is a great compliment as I frequent his blogs myself. He is a fantastic illustrator and always surprises me with his illustration friday contributions which are often completed in gouache at lightening speed! Mike also designed this wonderful new logo for the award which I find adorable (I couldn't resist passing it on...)

Emma Lou twists into an odd shape when she naps on the couch. She's long and skinny and bends at the oddest angles. Jessica thinks Emma has "cat" in her because she sits on the ledge of the couch and stares out at the window.
Ha! See, I finally did my IF on a Friday AND something new. Do I get a gold star now?

Emma Lou is just like my Sully. He is like a cat too when he sits on the ledge in the sun. He also sleeps like he has bee run over by a steamroller. This illo makes me laugh at how cute it is.

Of course a star. This week I said the term cat-dog many times. My friend's dog acts like a cat, a miniature pooble, she jumps on the couch and plops on top of the backrest. We may have to get a dog soo. My children are borrowing my friends' dogs.
