Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz that empathises with the ‘bad’ witch, but not everyone knows that it is inspired by Gregory Maguire’s The Wicked Years series: Wicked, Son of a Witch, A Lion Among Men and Out of Oz. He’s written other […]
Add a CommentIn truth, I have more time for writing right now than I have had in a long time. This scares me. It scares me because the more time I have for something, the more I fear wasting it. And the more I fear something, anything, the less productive I am. So instead of spinning off into […]

Happy, Happy, Happy Easter - and yes, I have already had too much chocolate. I'm kind of procrastinating at the moment. And later I'll not only be procrastinating but sweating. I am going to face an old, old fear... Wait for it...
The evil that is The Wizard of Oz! Cue clip:
Ooh, good luck with Morrigan Books! Sounds promising!
I watched The Wizard of Oz last year for the first time as an adult, and that movie is seriously weird.
Good luck with Blood & Snow...I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for both of us (I'm in the same boat there with "Tricksters.").
I've also got a story in the second round for consideration in "Bits."
Cheers Jeff - and good luck to you with both submissions.
Congrats on the strong consideration, hope it works out. Still trying to finish my Bits story, and the more I work on it the less I feel it is going to be what they are looking for. Oh well.
Thanks Eric... I live in hope, as always.
Good luck with Bits, I'm too chicken to try my luck again.
How was I not aware of this "Bits of the Dead" anthology? Oh, yeah, I was trying my hand at "literary" fiction to make my wife happy.
500 words? Let's see if I can come up with a zombie story with some kick in that time period, eh?
I don't think Bits is listed on Duotrope or Ralan as it doesn't have any web presence.
Good luck with your story.
Well we only change our phone number every three years so you just missed out on that one...
Good luck with your story, I like the title!
Thanks Mark :)
