So, yeah, I couldn't pass up this week's SFG challenge: Superhero! I've got a whole gallery of drawings of some of my favorites up on my website. Sadly, it doesn't look like I'm going to have time to draw a new one just for SFG, but here's one of my old faves instead: the Sensational She-Hulk!

Hey, fellow SFG-ers: Just a quick bit of self-promotion to let you all know that my first book, the graphic novel THE CLAWS COME OUT is in comic shops, on Amazon.com, and from better bookstores everywhere (although they may have to special-order it) today!
It's 152 pages of comedy/horror/adventure stories all featuring my two favorite things: women and monsters. Plus, introductions by a sexy vampire horror hostess, back-cover praise from cartoonists Jay Stephens and Tony Millionaire, and more--all wrapped up in a fancy hardcover and published by the good folks at IDW (Angel, Transformers, 30 Days of Night).
Book details, sample pages, and more info can be found here. Oh, and this is what the cover looks like:

Check it out if you get a chance, won't you? Thanks a mil!

Here's my entry for this week's SFG challenge, and also for Illustration Friday: Trick or Treat. Double duty! This is a great topic, so hopefully I'll submit a few more before Halloween.

Just goofing around in my sketchbook. Background texture is Von Glitschka's "Sugar Frosted Crud," which is awesome, by the way. I'm starting to get the hang of what to do with those textures.

They look like they hate each other, but I think they're secretly in love. Maybe someday I'll do a comic featuring these guys?

Wow, it's been a while. One thing I've been doing lately is drawing some of my favorite creatures from the Star Wars universe, just for fun. Here are a bunch:

Whew! I've been so busy working on paid jobs and my book, that I haven't had much time to relax and just draw for fun. Last night, though, after I got a ton of work finished, I decided to blow off some steam by drawing my favorite thing: sexy women. I'm not sure what the SFG rules are about showing bare breasts, so here's a tame one. You can see the rest over on my LiveJournal.

So yeah, I just made this little postcard to give to comic shops and stuff to promote my upcoming book THE CLAWS COME OUT. The book in mostly about pretty girls kicking monsters' asses, so I came up with this image for the promo:

So the big news is that I'll have a book of my comics coming out from IDW Publishing this November. There's still a lot of work to do, but I did this mock-up of a possible cover idea, which I thought I'd share:

I made a little website with more info about the book, sample pages, etc. that you can see here.

This week's SFG challenge just might be my favorite one ever. I'll probably do a bunch of illustrations on this theme. First up is my favorite 1950's pin-up girl, Bettie Page.
Also, I guess I should mention that I am the latest dude to be interviewed by Jeff over on Design Inspiration. Check it out here.
