I have an illustrator celebrity crush on Marc Boutavant. I just bought his Around the World with Mouk, and it’s a candy-coloured cute-infused thing of beauty, complete with fun impermanent vinyl stickers to populate its pages. Boutavant’s illustrations have us traveling the world with little Mouk, and the entire experience is like if Richard Scarry and M. Sasek got it on at Disneyland during the It’s a Small World ride.

Add me to the list. HUGE crush on all his creatures.
Add me to the list. I have a HUGE crush on all his little critters.
Marc's stuff is really fun. I discovered his stuff back in December while shopping at a cool store in downtown Phoenix.
I bought this for my 5-year-old daughter for Christmas and she is completely in love with it. It takes forever to read b/c of all the random little speech bubbles, but it's worth it. Now, if I could just allow myself to share the stickers with her…
His stuff really is amazing… I wish he had a proper website. I'd love to learn more about his process.
Got this one for my nephew, but I ended up having it for myself… it´s a gorgeous book full of fun and cute creatures…
I highly reccommend it!
I have this too since a year for my birthday… So cute !
I found this interview which explains his work (in french)
