A really beautiful book and perfect for a present.

It’s a very good book, i looked for it this Chrismas as i wanted to buy it.

This is a beautiful poem, and that was a poor review.

“Squiggles and lines”? Really? They’re prints, and I believe they are lithographs. I would say that they are not realistic drawings at all, they’re somewhat abstracted and they give a foretaste of what is to come, that they will become ghosts. The horse is barely indicated by lines, but still it’s full of action.

Of course it’s fine for children! I read it myself when I was about 10, and loved it. The whole thing is written to sound like a horse travelling, the rhythm of riding a horse, the sound of a horse’s feet clattering over cobblestones. It’s wonderful.

America is full of children shooting themselves and others, gunmen who slaughter crowds of people at any provocation – and this book is too scary for kids? Get a grip.
