Actress Laura Prepon will collaborate with nutritionist Elizabeth Troy on a diet book entitled The Stash Plan. Prepon (pictured, via) is well-known for playing Donna Pinciotti on That 70’s Show and more recently, Alex Vause on Orange is the New Black.
This project promotes a 21-day weight loss plan that encourages readers to prepare “stashes” of nutritious foods and soups on a weekly basis. Touchstone, an imprint at Simon & Schuster, has set the release date for March 2016.
Prepon gave this statement in the press release: “Throughout my life, I have tried many different diet plans, but none of them ever explained the underlying reasons for my weight issues and lack of energy. With The Stash Plan, Elizabeth and I provide the tools to take control of our bodies and health, as well as demystify the reasons why our bodies hold on to fat and don’t function the way we need them to. I’m passionate about sharing this revolutionary way of eating and healing with the world.”
Cleary Wolters has landed a deal with HarperOne for her memoir, entitled Out of Orange. Wolters inspired the character Alex Vause on the Netflix original TV series, Orange is the New Black.
According to The Associated Press, “Wolters’ book would tell of her time in prison and her ‘complicated’ relationship with Piper Kerman, Wolters’ former friend and lover.” The publisher has scheduled a release date for May 2015.
NBC has released a four-minute preview for the new sitcom based on Chelsea Handler‘s bestselling memoir, Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea. We’ve embedded the video above–do you think the show will make it?
Here’s more about the show: “Starring Laura Prepon (That ’70s Show) in the title role and based on the outrageous number one best-selling book by Chelsea Handler, this is one prayer that should definitely not be taught in schools.
Handler also helms a new imprint at Hachette’s Grand Central Publishing division–Borderline Amazing/A Chelsea Handler Book.
