Brazil Kids Art lesson!
We learned about the country of Brazil, the Amazon rain forest and artist Romero Britto today.
We started off class learning about Romero Britto, a Brazilian Neo-Pop artist whose work really resonates with children. I’ve attached several examples here:
Then we created our own Romero Britto inspired art using crayola markers and black line work.
We also learned about the Scarlet Macaw and the Brazilian carnival.
We even made our own carnival headdresses!

I always loved those Tarzan movies with the treehouse, vine-swings and all those elephants. It was the depth of the jungle that I found so enchanting - hidden depths, elevated trees, simplistic (non-existant) plots. It was more of an experience than a story.

Here's the first in a series of Jungle animals. I'll put it in my shop soon. The elephant needed to be repaired. He had a weird ear problem. Now he's all better.

Inspired by the Jungle and Seed themes...and spring in general!
hello Nicole! You're right, the elephant is really cute. Little lion is my favorite. Wait, I love the giraffe, too. And the monkey. Ah, fine. I love all of them. :P
