YA Author Jo Whittemore chronicles the writing adventure.
1. Oooh! and Awww!

So this past weekend, I experienced a bit of awesome that I'd never had a chance to partake in before...a Comic Con! The Austin Comic Con, to be precise, and it was amazing. If they have it again next year, I'll definitely wear a costume, like these people:

My main reason for going was to see Star Trek's Walter Koenig ("Nuclear wessels!") and Buffy's Nicholas Brendon ("Faster pussycat! Kill! Kill!")

They were both as nice and awesome as one might hope. The program panels were interesting and there was an artist's alley with some amazing work, which I bought and took home. Although I'm perturbed by the shortage of Asian superheroes. Perhaps I should create one...
So that was the Oooooh!
The Awww?
On Tuesday my Google Alerts (which I've set up to alert me when my book is mentioned on the web) found this video of Front Page Face-Off (note: there is no movie officially in the works).

My favorite part is the close-up on the walking doll feet, as well as some of the original dialogue she added. Hilarious! Thank you, Star!
Folks, this weekend is NCTE, so I'll be heading out Friday. If you happen to be going, please consider stopping by Coronado Ballroom D on Saturday at 2:45 to see me and Sweethearts Jessica Anderson and Tricia Hoover as we speak on writing from life. We've each got a little something special planned for ya!
