Information professionals are constantly called upon to demonstrate the value of their services and justify the investment in them, but it is typically difficult to get our message through to decision makers and stakeholders. Ulla de Stricker discusses the challenges inherent in getting and keeping their attention and suggests a communication approach based on understanding their perceptions and the “what’s in it for me” factor, all centered within the organization’s overall strategic goals.
About the Speaker
Ulla de Stricker is a well-known figure in the Canadian information and library community, having been active in it for over 30 years. Through a successful career holding senior positions in the information industry, Ulla has developed extensive expertise in knowledge and information management. An accomplished and very popular public speaker, Ulla is a frequent contributor to the professional literature and to conferences.
