It was an overcast day with a chance of rain, but with the mild temps and a finished yard project behind us, we decided to take a little Sunday drive round the mountain. We took a few roads that well, really lead nowhere, because if you keep going in a straight line, you'll drive off a cliff! So round and round we went until we found these beauties!
Such lovely girls...
...and their very stern looking fellow.
We loved the house across the road from their pasture and can only imagine the view from the back!
The road finally led us down off our mountain, a road we've traveled before...just not this direction.
At the bottom turn, heading back up, were these three country bumpkins giving us the eye.
We took a little round about way home. One I've ridden the motorcycle on a few times. See that ridge? The road that leads us home is up there!

I was going to say, I'm getting a little dizzy from all of the ups and downs and round-and-rounds. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Looks like most of the leaves are off the trees already in your area. They are starting to change here, but with our drought, this is NOT the prettiest fall I've ever seen. So...what's the "finished yard project"??
Wow, you never know what kind of sights you might see driving on that mountain road of yours. And yes, I did become a bit dizzy! Thinking of you, have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Julie.
Beautiful pictures. I especially liked the ones of the cows.
I love roads like that! Thanks for taking us along, Eve!
Wouldn't it be wonderful to live in a house with such an amazing view of the mountains. Though I get the feeling it is a little bit remote.
You do NOT want to mess with that bull! He'll take you out!
Sunday drives are awesome! You never know what you will find. We haven't taken a Sunday drive in a long while with our busy schedules. Thanks for the inspirational reminder. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Eve I think that looks a little familiar! Love the Longhorns and the country bumpkins. The second roan lady is very pretty, I think she knows it. That house is darling!
I've recovered from being dizzy now, lovely shots of the longhorns Evie. Fabulous new header.
It's good to get out and about, isn't it?
Well Toni, you caught me. The project was just picking up some left over wood from the shed that still isn't quite finished!! Just got some trip work and paint left to do!
Happy Thanksgiving Julie! Take care of that little peeper in the coop!!
Thanks Trob! Me too!!
I hear ya Sharon! If it wasn't for all the trees blocking the view, just across the road is about the same thing. It's amazing up here! Take a little walk and you're right on the edge!
You too Karin! Hope it's a wonderful Thanksgiving for you! Get out there and take a little spin in the slow lane!
Happy Thanksgiving Pixer!! Wouldn't she look sweet under your oaks!!
Thanks Roy! I figured you'd like those Longhorns!
It is Steve! That really doesn't happen enough these days! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
