26. Joy - Lolly's happy joy suit

The track suit is the great equalizer. The most voluptuous woman can put it on and suddenly, blamo! She's just as plain as the rest of us. Lolly says, "Forget measuring up. Slip into something comfortable. Grab a bowl of chocolate pudding, and take a little 1/4K jog, or walk, or better yet, throw on Oprah". Ignorance is bliss (or joy?). Or so they say.

27. Lemony Cloud Dance

This painted floppy disk sold at the Fusion Gallery "Off the Wall" show in south Jersey. I had a great time at the installation on Friday night and the artists reception on Saturday. The show will hang till March 2 or beyond. You can see photos at my Flickr site. BTW: SFGer Adam Levine made it down and is in some of the pics. The big ham.

28. Little Life & Death Parade

UPDATED

Here is another one for the show at the Fusion Gallery
in South Jersey. When the owner saw my stuff a month ago, he loved it and decided to retro fit me into an existing scheduled show called "Off the Wall". The show is featuring die hard street artists and then there's innocent little me. Haaa. The artists reception is from 6:00 - 10:00pm on Saturday, Feb. 9th. in a little town, Collingswood. I'm going to get there around 7:00. Stop by if you are in the area. I would love to meet some SFGers in person.

Here is another one for the show in South Jersey. When the gallery owner saw my stuff a month ago, he loved it and decided to retro fit me into an existing scheduled show, so the details on my part of it are still sketchy.

This is one of 4-5 pieces for a show in a cool South Jersey Gallery this February. I'm stoked. More info to come when it gets closer.

31. "An Orange Is Always Good In A Pinch"

I love Mexican and South American culture. The colors and patterns blow me away. I had an old desk from my mother's childhood that was falling apart and so before throwing it out, I took apart the drawers and put them in my "gotta paint on that" someday pile. It's been over a year and this skull guy seemed perfect for the distressed wood drawer.

32. Kokeshi Doll Skull Guy

Ever since seeing the Kokeshi Doll exhibit that ran at the Subtext Gallery, I knew I had to create my own. I ordered 2 blanks from Christina Conway, the curator for the show. The egg body ended up being too big in proportion to the head of my character based on the illustration I already did titled, "An Orange Is Always Good In A Pinch". So I cut a smaller ball and he looked the way I wanted him to. I plan on doing a different character using the egg body supplied.

Happy new year everyone. I wish you all a much better year than 2007. This is my first piece of art for the year. It is acrylic and pencil on cardboard. Fun.

38. Illustrator Rules!

You all knows what a fan of texture I am but I have a flat side to me. I get excited every time I see really cool vector art. And I love Adobe Illustrator. Here is a character from a concept I am working on. You may be seeing more of him and his friends in the future.

40. Nuns Wear Black & White

What can I say? I was messing around in my moleskin and all of a sudden felt like drawing a nun. I never know where my mind will take me. I like it that way.

Edit: I was scrolling down after posting this and saw Julie's post of nuns for black & white. NOW I know why the nun just popped into my mind. Thanks Julie because she was fun.

42. SFG: Goblins, Ghouls, Ghosts and Mummy

What a fun time of year. Even mummies have fears. I guess they are low on the ghoul chain.

44. SFG: News-Jim Bradshaw Moleskins Featured In Encore Magazine.

I can't believe how much enthusiastic feedback I've been getting on my moleskin sketches since I started posting them. I was contacted a couple of months back by Encore Magazine and they wanted to run a feature of my mad little doodles in issue #36. Encore is a multi-award winning German online art, design, and film magazine. It's a great read even without my art. Haaaha. And the subscription is free. You can find me on the contents page under art, titled Moleskin. Enjoy!
Note: I did the above montage of various moleskin pages and think I might be on to another technique/look. It's funny how every new thing I try ends up a happy surprise that sends me down a fresh new path.

45. The Necessary Evil

The need for money is what is keeping me and many other illustrators locked in our full-time jobs. Kinda makes for this love/hate relationship with that dirty green stuff.
