“Okay boys and girls, it’s voting time again. Professor Planet over here has installed a new poll and this one should be interesting. Right over there on the left side of every page: crimson background, nice, gold lettering, nice. Buttons for each answer and a button to vote.”
“Ooh, there’s seven answers. Let’s see, there’s a message board, and a shoutbox, and more blog comments.”
“What’s a shout box?”
“That’s a little window where anyone can type a short message any time they want. It’s really simple and fast.”
“We should bring back the Character Book. That thing rocked. We had like 500 signatures or something.”
“We haven’t had a question in a while, Hoshi. Did we manage to get through that huge list we had?”
“Nope, we still got zillions of questions to do, but this one gets asked all the time. It says ‘is LadyStar ever gonna be a TV show or a movie?’”
“heh. Most of the new people don’t know how long we’ve been here.”
“LadyStar was originally the background story for an episodic adventure game, and not long after that, we had a television show in pre-production.”
“Yeah! It was gonna be the same story as our books but with super neat animated magical attacks and stuff.”
“Since then, LadyStar was published as a manga, then as a Visual Novel. While those two projects were being developed, the story was becoming more complete and new characters were being added. Eventually, we pretty much had to make it a book series because there was just so much that had been added it would take thousands of comic book pages to tell the whole story.”
“Sugoi… a thousand page comic book. “
“So the answer is sure, we’d love to be in a movie or television show, but we’re pretty committed to this site and our readers, so anything new we try can’t interfere with what we’re doing now.”
“That’s right. We’re all about our readers.”
“Thanks Alanna-sama and Leila-sama! If you have a question, we’ll be starting up my Jessie’s Letters page again real soon. Ja!”
“That’s straight up Amy Lee from Evanescence, playing the guitar and singing about cartoons! What? Who? Where? What portal did we walk through this time?”
“It’s a LadyStar Video Alert! I got Talitha-chan to find us a fun video to put up so we could have a video alert like Acey-san!”
“Yeah it’s a LadyStar video alert. You savvy?”
“Ha! We’ve gone officially out of our own tree!”
“Heheheeee… see? We can do videos just like Gamepowa ’cause we got Talitha-chan and she’s super-smart about computers just like Acey-san!”
“That is just too cool for words. Rock on, Amy! Rock on, Professor! Rock on, LadyStar Video Alerts! We are OUT!”
“Hi everybody! It’s meeee! Our new site is gonna be one year old in a couple of months, and so I got aaaaall my friends to help me make a list of all our favorite articles from since we started the new site! First we got Irina-san who is gonna start the countdown!”
“That was the beginning of the big Pluto controversy on the big site here. Like I always say, if other people don’t want Pluto, we’ll take it. It’s always a planet here.”
“Yeah! Okay, the number nine best article we did is by Daphne-chan!”
“And we never put onions on a pizza ’cause Alanna-sama says so! Okay, now for the three best updates. Tara-san is going to tell us about number three.”
“Acey gots a game that’s about a TV show where you can sing just like they do and it’s for the Nintendo Wii and I want to play!”
“The who got what for the which now?”
“I just want to know when we get the game with competitive drumming. Because that would pretty much guarantee I’d have to get a game console.”
“I heard there’s a game called Guitar Hero that I have got to check out. If we could hook that thing up to our setup in my studio? That would straight up rock. What have you got for us, Space girl?”
“It’s one of our latest reviews. It’s called High School Musical Sing It! and it includes a microphone. It’s a game for the Nintendo Wii, and it’s due to be released very soon. We’re stocking this one as a potential 5-star buy, and it’s available for pre-order in the Gamepowa store right now.”
“Ooh looky! Acey-san has a music video with it too! That’s one of the most popular shows on TV huh?”
“Everybody watches High School Musical. Super popular show.”
“They need to make one called ‘high school band’ starring the Shores.”
“I’m there. If people want to hear some high school music, wait until the green and gold shows up.”
“heh”
“Z-bot is out collecting data on another new game right now.”
“Yay! Which one?”
“Guitar Hero 3″
“Oh sweet! That’s the game we’ve been waiting for! You’ve got to hook us up, Space girl!”
“Want to visit the Powa and do a guest review with us? Z-bot will be back soon.”
“I am so there. Drummer girl, you have to join us! This game needs a rythym section.”
“Sure.”
“I’m gonna go get Talitha-chan so she can link to it. Be sure to tell us when you got the review done okay?”
“That’s affirmative, Jessica.”
“Yay! I can’t wait. Be sure to check back soon, minna! Ja ne!”

“Ooh! Looky we got a new theme for our site, huh? Talitha-chan is so smart. I wish I could make web sites ’cause I’d have one with unicorns everywhere and then I’d have super-cool jazz music in the background and I’d have all my friends write about neat stuff and we’d have a zillion million people visit all the time.”
“I can’t wait to see what you do if we open another site or something.”
“Jessie always says something happy!”
*giggle*
“I thought this would make the site a little simpler and make it easier to find the story pages.”
“We got a big giant button that goes to the first book now that’s on all the pages too!”
“Yay! We should have a button for the second book ’cause that’s when I get my powers and I make shields when we fight those cold shadow monsters in the Venom Deeps.”
“Pretty nice upgrade, Hayashi.”
“Talitha-chan is the best at web sites and stuff!”
“Okay this is like, super important. Ever since I started my Gift Shops I wanted to give donations to a charity and since I’m a musician and all of my friends are too I think this is the best one I could choose. Our official Gift Shop charity is the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls.”
“This is super neat, Shannon-sama. I think Rock Camp is the best and I’m glad we’re going to donate lots to them.”
“So it’s official now. I had a feeling you were planning on donating to the Willie Mae Rock Camp ever since our feature on it.”
“I’ve been playing music ever since I was little, and my first trumpet was donated along with a lot of other instruments for our school. I never would have gotten to play or be in band with you guys if our school hadn’t gotten that donation.”
“Music programs are important, and girls should get to participate too.”
“Yeah.”
“We’re going to donate 15% of everything we get from the sale of any LadyStar merchandise from my Gift Shop. We even put their logo on all the pages. So whenever you make a purchase from our shop, you’re helping support the best summer music camp for girls.”
“Okay this is one of our announcements today. We have this new exclusive design from the Tales of Pylea web comic, which is one of our top affiliates. They even did some extra cool drawings for us which we’re gonna introduce really soon.”
“Whoa. He looks tough. Who is this guy?”
“This is F’nor. He’s the main character in the story. He’s a pretty tough fighter I hear.”
“Ooh! He’s a cutie isn’t he?”
“Alright, alright, careful over there Drum Major girl.”
“There’s going to be a second design soon. The Tales of Pylea shirts are featured in my Shopkeeper Specials section in the Gift Shop.”
“Well folks? What are you waiting for? Get over there and get yourself a shirt before Drum Major girl buys them all!”
“Look what Shannon-sama did! Look what Shannon-sama did! It’s meeeeeee!”
“Jessie’s on a t-shirt in Shannon’s Gift Shop!”
“Sweet.”
“Good timing too because we’re going all out today. This just might be an unannounced ten update day because we have a LOT to get to. Stay tuned folks.”
“Konnichiwa, minna-san! It’s meeeee! I got another e-mail on my super-neat Jessie’s Letters page and it’s a really good question too. Hi Leila-sama!”
“Hi Hoshi. What question shall we contemplate today?”
“Okay, the e-mail says Leila-sama, what is your first book going to be about and what will the title be?”
“Hmmm… that is a good question. You know what I’d like to write is a philosophical thriller.”
“Ooh, what kind of story is that?”
“It should be a story about a beautiful and smashingly intelligent musician who, with a keen sense of subtlety and a mind capable of finding deep meaning and wisdom, discovers an elegant, simple answer to a baffling and mysterious philosophical paradox.”
“Sugoi…”
“I think my IQ would go up ten points just reading the first chapter of that book. Or my brain would melt. One or the other.”
“It is the wise person who finds meaning in simplicity.”
“See? I knew Leila-sama would write the best book. I can’t wait to read it, ’cause I wanna be super-smart about philosophy like Leila-sama! If you got a question or a comment you can send it to me Jessica Hoshi on my Jessie’s Letters page! Ja ne!”
“Okay this is super-important everyone. Since I’m in charge of our LadyStar Gift Shop I want to announce that we’re getting ready to adopt an official charity.”
“Yeah. We’ve been planning this for a while and we’re just about ready to present the page with all the information. If you visit often, you’ve probably already figured out where we’ll be donating.”
“It makes all the sense in the world. If we’re going to have a real business, then its important that we give something back, and I want to donate to lots of different causes, especially ones that help animals.”
“We should give to an Earth Day one too for Talitha-chan ’cause that’s her birthday!”
“Oh, my goodness…”
“We should also consider a children’s literacy charity. After all, our stories are books.”
“Good point.”
“I wanna give donations to Commander Acey and her robot on the Gamepowa site ’cause she has lots of fun video games!”
“That’s a very nice thought, Cici, but Gamepowa isn’t a charity. What we want to do most is help people who might not have as much as we do, or people who can’t really help themselves.”
“I want us to help lots of people.”
“Me too!”
“Cici’s got a point there. We should get Gamepowa in on the action. They could probably help us a lot.”
“I’m on it. I figure Commander Acey will put together a sweet space-age galactic high-technology plan.”
“You guys are the best, you know that?”
“Yeah, we know.”
“Heheheeee… watch our site minna! We’ll have lots more exciting information real soon! Ja!”
“Could someone please explain what that was just now?”
“I call them Doofus Disasters. She runs through the room giggling about something and then when you ask her later what she was so happy about she doesn’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I got something in the e-mail and it’s about Hikousen!”
“Hoshi, what are you talking about?”
“I got e-mail on Jessie’s Letters and they said how to get Hikousen to stop sleeping on your math book.”
“This should be good. What did they say?”
“They said to get Cici-chan to help and maybe she can make Hikousen sleep somewhere else!”
“Of course. That could work!”
“Little Bit! Help!”
“Hi Ranko!”
“Here’s the deal. You gotta get ferocious guard cat to stop sleeping on Miss Shannon’s books, got it?”
“Okay Ranko! Come on Hikousen, let’s go get something to eat.”
mwrowr?
“He meowed!”
“Yay! Hikousen listens to Cici-chan!”
“I got my math book back!”
“Oh yeah, I knew it all along.”
“O Rly?”
“Heheheeee.. Thanks for helping everyone! You’re the best! Ja ne!”
“Okay I’m gonna make an announcement about a really super neat site that has been one of our bestest friends, ’cause they told all their readers about our books and stuff, and they’ve got a great site for girls too.”
“Solid. Talk to me.”
“It’s a site called Girls Can’t What?, and it’s a blog just like ours except it has stories about all kinds of girls and women who do all kinds of neat stuff. Like right now they got a story about a girl who won a surfing competition.”
“Hey Leila, check it out. The author plays drums.”
“Nice.”
“They even got a store with t-shirts and stuff just like Shannon-sama, except all their shirts are for girls. Let’s see, they got one with a girl ship captain, and one with a girl veterinarian, and one with a girl as a singer, and lots of other ones too.”
“Alright, now this is about the coolest thing I’ve ever seen before, and I’ve seen a lot of cool stuff. Like icy cool stuff with extra snow and snowflakes and little pieces of snowcone sprinkled on it.”
“That’s pretty cool, you know.”
“Freezing.”
“What is it, Ranko-chan?”
“It’s called the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls. It’s a summer camp for a week where girls learn how to play musical instruments and run sound equipment. They learn how to write music, form bands and perform their own songs.”
“Realleeeeee? Ooh ooh ooh! We have to go! We all have to go and play!”
“Wow, you can learn to run soundboards too. Pretty neat. They got bands with horn sections?”
“Well, if they don’t they’d learn about fat horn sound pretty quick if we showed up.”
“Heh.”
“This is super neat, Ranko-chan! Ooh, looky! It’s named after Big Mama Thornton. I’ve heard lots of her music. She is the best! She was one of the first women ever to sing rock and roll.”
“This is one righteous camp. What a great idea.”
“I’ll add a link to our Fun Places to Visit list.”
“Hooray for Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls!”
“Hey, here’s a shout out from all of us here at the Magical and Mysterious World of LadyStar. Rock on, ladies. Rock on.”
“Hi! Um.. I’m Cici and Jessie said I could do an update all by myself and so me and Hikousen are gonna answer a question.”
“Maybe we should help her“
“Nah. Relax, she’s doing fine.“
“The question says umm…”
“Go, little bit! Go, little bit!“
“shhhhh…“
“It says ‘Cici are you gonna play an instrument someday’ Yeah! I wanna play the drums just like Jessie’s friend Leila ’cause she gets to make lots of noise! Right Hikousen?”
zzzzzzz….
“Hikousen says he wants to play the drums too!”
*giggle*
“yay!“
“Um.. oh yeah, if you have a question or stuff you wanna say you can send it to Jessie on her Jessie’s Letters Page!”
