26. PYBOT: Nessie Goes to Work

Being an elusive mythological recluse doesn't exactly pay the bills.

27. Excuse To Paint

Rejection

It haunts us all, whether it's from being dumped, not getting a job, or simply losing that karaoke contest you thought you had in the bag. You knew you shouldn't have gone with "Summer Nights." There was no way you were going to hit that last note.

(This is a somewhat unfinished painting I did for the Illustration Friday topic "Rejection." Acrylic on canvas 8x10 It was fun to paint in the real world again...I'm still learning)

28. Sketchy McSketchington

Here's a couple of sketches I recently did. I think we should share our sketches more often. It's been fun looking at how other people work.

32. PYBOT (once, twice, three posts a lady)

Here's a few older illustrations I did. The bottom one was for an angels/demons theme and I forgot to post it...It would have worked here the other day. The others are unrelated...Just some work I thought would be fun to share...After all, it is PYBOT!

33. PYBOT: Of Love And Lines

Here's some older drawings I thought I'd share. The common theme...things coming out of mouths. (Not that it really ties them together.)

35. Houses and Birthday's and Bears...Oh My!

Barry the Birthday Bear, and some purple houses just for good measure. The bear is from a card I just made for my girlfriend. You can read more about it here: BloggyMcBloggBlogg

The houses were for the fun of it...much like everything else I draw. Odd fact #25: The texture for the house drawing comes from a photoshop brush I made out repeating text spelling out the word "sky."

36. PSM:Spiders

That's not true. Spiders absolutely creep me out. I used to collect them as a kid and feed them...but when I once found a HUGE one hiding under my pillow at night, our friendship was suddenly over. It's a shame because they make such great listeners.

37. Post-it's for Post It

Here's a few quick sketches drawn on post-it-notes that I did while at a nursing home this weekend. I wasn't trying to draw anyone there...this is just what came out.

40. Pee Es Em

Here's a concept I thought of that makes me laugh every time. The idea of a robot fashion show. I think it would be great to watch. I can't decide what would be funnier...robots parading around a catwalk or people dressed as robots using materials such as cardboard and competing for the title of prettiest machine.

41. Adimal Sketches

Here's a group of sketches I did of some of the "Sibling" Adimals that I make. Initially, I was using this as a color and form guide to see what works and what doesn't. Almost all of these guys have already been produced as stuffed dolls. You can see what they look like in the end here if you'd like. I like 'em, but then again I might be a bit biased.

42. Human Giant!!!

The image above is a still from a two second animation my girlfriend and I were lucky enough to produce for the new sketch comedy show "Human Giant" on MTV. The episode we worked on airs tonight at 10:30pm est on MTV!

They wanted to have a 3d animation of a guy getting hit by a car. The animation had to resemble the Grand Theft Auto game series and is only two full seconds in length. 4 days and 40+ hours later, we gave them this.

Everyone should check out the show if you like ridiculous sketch comedy, and animators who want more episodes to be produced so they can hit more people with digital cars! (Just don't blink or you'll miss it)

I was happy so I just thought I'd share. :)

43. Seven Years Ago

Here's an old drawing that I found while cleaning today. I think I did it back in 2000. It's one of the few things I dug up today that I liked, so I thought I would share.

44. Sailing, take me away...

After a brief stint on the Galapagos Islands, William was finally ready to set sail for what would become a 14 month journey to return the stolen cargo he had picked up in Maine. He would fish during the day and what he didn't gut and eat for dinner became his seafaring companions. It was a love eat relationship.

45. Nin-10-dough

Here's my entry for both this week's SFG Challenge as well as the IGN 8-Bit contest. It's called "Spin-Off." That's what Mario technically is, he came from Donkey Kong and rose up to achieve great things.

47. My Keyboard Impresses The Ladies

A big thanks goes out to Jeff and Von Glitschka! I received my Keyboard Characters from winning the "People As Pets" contest and they totally rule! Von was nice enough to include a bunch of examples of his work along with them. They're colorful and fun and have so much personality. Go check out his site and pick up a set for yourself. Fact: They make you 74.2% sexier. Thanks again you guys! Oh, and since I haven't posted in a while, here's what I've been up to...
This is the next Illustration in my side project series about a girl who finds herself on a series of bizarre islands. Here's a link to some of the others.

50. The Plinkalot

Deep deep down in the Wollynuck Forrest,
the Plinkalot pokes his head.
He looks around,
and fears the world won't miss him when he's dead...will you?
