On November 17, 2013, Bitsy Bop was featured at the Bull Run Winery for the Textbook Africa event.  Author Takisha Payne attended and read the book to a few children who attended.

Textbook Africa is a non profit organization who collects and ships used textbooks, library books, computers and supplies to schoolchildren and teachers in Africa.
