This is the first sketching I have done in a very long time. Just for fun and something that popped into my head. I enjoy winter and with our 80 degree temperatures through most of February I feel I have missed out on the cooler weather. This is a bit different style for me, but one I really like. I hope you enjoy it!

Something I worked on for a challenge on Twitter. Really trying to get my kidlit illustrations going! Hoping to illustrate a children's book someday, and working to improve to be able to do just that!

New illustration once again testing out children's book illustration styles. I look at a lot of children's books and notice watercolors, so I wanted to give that a try on this one. The Frog Prince was the subject for the day over at @Daily_Doodle on Twitter. Enjoyed painting this little fellow and hope he brings a smile!

I always loved getting new sneakers, and this illustration shows why! Another fun one testing out children's book illustration styles. I worked on this for a daily challenge at SketchClub entitled Fun with Dinosaurs. Really enjoyed drawing this, and I hope you enjoy viewing it!

Here is something I did to work on my children's book illustration style. All for pure enjoyment! :) This was actually a co-op with a friend on SketchClub. She sent me the original sketch and I came up with the finished drawing. Enjoy the dance, no matter how slow it might be. :)

I know many have experienced some bitter cold this winter and looking forward to Spring. This bunny is just getting a head start. Started out as a practice for a fur effect. I think it came out okay, could always be better.

Something I worked on for a challenge at SketchClub. I love clouds and always fret over them, but I like how these came out. Still not thrilled with the lights on the cactus, but I guess they will do. Thanks for taking a look!!

Here is something I sketched for a SketchClub Watercolor Compo. I love watercolors, turtles, and the challenge of making digital artwork look like the authentic medium. I am not sure I achieved that with this sketch, but I am still happy with the results. It also got really good reviews at SketchClub.com and I am happy to say that I finally won 1st place in a compo with this little guy! I hope you like my sketch as well. Here is one more sketch I did for another SketchClub challenge entitled Chickens. I immediately thought of the old question "Why did the chicken cross the road?", and thought we might get an answer. Of course we won't get the answer from this chicken since he is obviously confused as well. Thanks for stopping to take a look.

Here is something I worked on for another challenge at SketchClub entitled Dragons. There were many varieties of dragons, but of course mine came out cute...and roasting marshmallows. It's been a while for me since posting any images, but I have a few I want to share. This one was done for a challenge on the SketchClub App called Summer Wildlife. Since moving to Arizona, I really miss fireflies, or lightening bugs which ever you prefer. My Mom told me once that when she was growing up they would pull the butts off of the fireflies and stick them to themselves and they would continue to glow. Thanks Mom!! That's gross! Did you ever feel that with those new shoes you got as a kid you would be able to run faster? I sure did and so does this guy! I had a turtle growing up, I called him Speedy because he could move pretty fast....in the water. :) Thanks for taking a look!!
