1. Seasonal

 It never snows on southern Vancouver Island, well today it did!!!!!
Inspired to create a painted wreath not to go out in the flurries and pick to make one. Last of the programs for the library coming up, looking forward to a weeks holiday and big kids home for the holidays :)
View from the kitchen window, there is an inlet, ocean and mountains somewhere out there.

2. Storm Survivors Inktober

After the storms of the past week, power outages and the last of  typhoon songda there are a few soggy flowers left. The garden is winding down and painting time and dark evenings are starting:) A little black and white for Inktober.

18. Floral


 Loving the blooms! Below why I haven't been painting much, the garden and flowers have taken over. The heat has been overwhelming, we have installed a drip system which has been a wonderful time saver and much greener :)

19. Small, but with lots of attitude

These little characters (quail) are living in my garden, not sure how many are in the clutch. They are speedy! Papa is on the watch sitting all around the garden on the tomato trellis, by the sweet peas and atop the beans. They have also eaten all the baby greens as they sprout, round 3 is covered in remay.
They are such "attitudy" birds. And since you rarely see one alone.....

22. Warrior Dance

All the green and white and contrasting blues. The colours in early spring are so brilliant! Sweet peas planted today, stormy, greenhouse full of tender plants, studio full of colour!

25. Strong but fragile

 Spring, bunnies, spring break and a little holiday!
Starting seeds like crazy and enjoying this amazing early warmth, so much to do in the garden!
