29. Recent Escapades!

A recent quest had taken some members of our family on a 'geocaching' adventure!
My husband and I, my two step sons and my daughter Bunny had decided to wander the hidden paths of Kent and search for hidden treasure!
The first cache was an extremely well hidden and tiny item but the
girls struck victory!
A persuit deep within the foliage and undergrowth continued along the path as the boys were a little disappointed to say the least.
Trying to contain our laughter, the girls agreed to take turns as it soon became a battle of wills and a competition of sorts;(not the competitive kind).
After a sucessful few hours we managed to discover several items and we were feeling very pleased with ourselves!
A new and exciting idea we had never tried before and I highly recommend it as a family day out!
Anyone else been?

Yihaaaaaaaaa! I am proud to announce the release of the book 'THE MIRADOR FANTASMAGORIA'! Available from Amazon and all good book shops.
The book contains an Anthology of stories from the weird and the wonderful and contains my new release SOCK MONSTER!
I have written this story for all those who have a sock missing when they go to the washing machine or tumble dryer!!
There isn't a 'Sock Monster' waiting in the shadows somewhere either. The 'Sock Monster' is in his imagination. It can be anything he wants it to be, look like anything he likes!
It's not the same old story about a monster stealing socks from within a washing machine or tumble dryer but a young boy who repeatedly loses socks when they arrive at the washing machine or tumble dryer. His mum sends him upstairs to look beneath his bed for the missing one and to his surprise, the sock is trapped inside the floorboards. He attempts to pull at the sock, but instead is dragged deep beneath the flooring.....
You will have to buy a copy to find out what happens to him!
I hope anyone who reads enjoys.

36. Happy New Year!

Hi everyone and hope you all had a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!
An IMPORTANT note-have had to change the blog title as it has to cover different genres of reading now.
Have been a bit lazy with updates recently as have been busy writing and have good news!!
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity a number of weeks ago to enter a short story competition for 'Mirador Publishing'. There were limited catergories and I didn't really believe I was capable of offering anything suitable. Anyway, I entered an imaginative and fantastical piece called 'SOCK MONSTER' and I am pleased to announce....I won! The story will be part of an anthology released early this year and available around the world. What an opportunity!
So, my advice would be.... Don't just stick to one genre; write evrything and anything!!

39. PYXIS POORST- (Sequel one; from the original end)

Following the floundered events of the robbery, Lila and Tye have sought refuge in a Motel on the outskirts of the desert. Having altered her appearance, she has taken precautions to ensure her identity remains intact.
With the Motel managed by an elderly couple, Lila feels certain safety is not an issue.
Terrified Pyxis is hunting them, Lila is certain he will want revenge for his brother’s and sister’s deaths.
Imprisoned within their room, resources are almost completely now drained. The travel bag bursting with the stolen money appears ever more tempting to Tye. Several attempts to spend a fraction of the wealth, end in a heated exchange.
The closeness of their relationship begins to diminish.
Lila’s evocative thoughts turn to Pyxis Poorst and her uncontrollable enigmatic affection for him.
Whilst on a visit to the store, Tye absconds with the cash. Panic-stricken Lila is confused and frightened. Afraid to return to the room, Lila seeks asylum elsewhere. Upon return, she discovers Tye beaten and bruised and dumped on the doorstep.
The money has gone. Contained within the travel bag is a note demanding Tye’s life. Lila is to dispose of Tye without consequence.
Lila achieves what is asked of her using manipulation and the stupidity he developed during their lengthy time together. She leaves the Motel, returning to her apartment.
Back at her apartment, she discovers yet another travel bag with another note.
This note asks her to do something she feels is impossible.
A visit to Glennis, Rhinestone and Poorst is imperative and the urge to speak to Pyxis Poorst becomes inevitable.
Upon Lila’s visit to the advertising company, she ascertains more information about Pyxis and his personal affairs.
Becoming involved in yet another complicated and twisted ‘plan’ she has to replace the money that was taken from the bank in the first place to please Pyxis, as the story unfolds.

44. An odd interest...

Hello fans...I would like to draw everyone's attention to an interesting subject a little off the beaten track for my blog.
I wandered the internet the other week to search 'Abandoned Asylums'.
To my amazement,I came across them in their hundreds.
With abuse and neglect as part of the daily routine, these Asylums were overcrowded and understaffed. A Labotomy was common practice and are still performed in medicine today for extreme cases of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
One particular establishment in Australia had been abandoned since the year 2000 and some buildings were due for demolition.
There is little history and available information regarding this Asylum except for videos supplied by a guy named Jarvo325 on YouTube.
A selection of very well filmed and narrated tapes have been edited and added to his page. A website address is also available- www.ausparanormal.com I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
Investigating the depths of WILLOW COURT,AUSTRALIA and associated buildings built during the 1830's, Jarvo325 provides additional updates and valuable information to paint a picture of the Asylum which otherwise we would not have the ability to understand.
I strongly believe that if justice is achieved for people who commit 'crimes against humanity' during cases committed in the War, why are doctors, nurses and staff not brought to justice for the crimes they commit in these hospitals?
Let me know your thoughts.
