The Fear of Falling
I recently was asked to speak at a Christian Luncheon. These were Christian businessmen and women who meet each week to pray and have a devotional. One of the points in my message to them is that the reason many people have trouble accomplishing anything is that they have a Fear of Falling!
If we are too afraid of losing our position, our friends or social status, we will never be able to accomplish anything for God! This fear of falling can paralyze a person so that they cannot function. They want to act, they want to make those who love them proud and do the right thing, but they are so afraid, their fear of falling keeps them from doing anything.
One of the ways for you to be free from fear is to hide God's word in your heart and to learn to obey His commands. A good verse for this is one of my favorite passages:
John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Then read John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

A keepsake and reference that combines over 25 years of research with photos and all legendary and scriptural information available on these men who first called Jesus Master. Now this is not a definitive “end all-Be all” book, as I have tried my best to simply relate the actual historic accounts which exist, that have at least three sources and do not violate scripture. This is simply all the information that is out there all put into one volume. I have had one reader express his disappointment at my lack of certainty on some events, but as I said above, only the word of God is certain, everything else we must test and try against the scriptures.
I am working on a new volume for the Gospel of Luke and it will be released later this year, more to come on this exciting commentary!

FORTY YEARS AGO!
Forty years ago, at a revival service near Flat Rock Michigan, while listening to a sermon about the Faith of Noah, from a Pastor and Evangelist Don Green, I was convicted of my sin and was convinced of my need for a Savior!
Forty years ago as I raised my hand to indicated I wanted to make a decision, I was so scared that my whole body was trembling while all the adults looked at the 8 year old boy and wondered, does he know what he is doing?
Forty years ago I was so nervous and yet so serious that as I went down the Isle my nose began to bleed, my heart was pounding and my pulse was raising and I knew I was making the most important decision of my life.
Forty years ago as I held a cloth to my nose, I was shown the Romans Road in the Bible by Lewis Wilder:
Romans 3:23-For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God
Romans 6:23-For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ His son.
Romans 5:8-But God commended His love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ Died for us
Romans 10:9,10 and 13-That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
Forty years ago I bowed my head and prayed:
"Dear God, please forgive me of my sin. I know Jesus died on the Cross to shed His blood for my sin and He died in my place. I know and believe that He rose from the dead on the third day. Please send Jesus to come and live inside of me and to make me a new person. Thank you for saving me, In Jesus Name, Amen"
Forty years ago I was born again into the family of God and I had a new birth, so today is my spiritual birthday!
In the past forty years I have been priveleged to serve God in many ways. I have won many battles for God but I have also failed many times. Each time I failed I have simply reached up and took my Savior by the hand and pulled myself back up. God has blessed me with so many things, Wife of 26 years, Three marvelous Children and even a Grandson!
If you would like to do something as a gift for my spiritual birthday then:

The most important words in the scriptures are: "He is not here, He is Risen!"
I recently watched the old Keith Green Video singing: Here the bells ringing, there singing, that you can be born again! Here the bells ringing, they're singing Christ is risen from the dead! The Angels, up on the tomb stone saying He is risen, just like He said! Quickly now, go tell His disciples that Jesus Christ is no longer Dead!
Joy, to the World, He is Risen, Hallelujah! ...
I was in tears hearing the voice of a man who went home to be with Jesus over 25 years ago, singing about the only thing that should matter to His disciples, us, that Jesus Christ is no longer dead!!!!
We must study and be ready to share the Good News of Jesus Christ every chance we get and I hope I can help you!

Read your Bible Everyday in 2009!
Most people who know me, understand that I do not write my books and teach my classes because I think I know more than other Bible Teachers. My whole focus is to encourage you to read your Bible everyday. I hope you have a good Pastor/Teacher in your local Church and I hope you enjoy learning from them, but I want you to learn to feed yourself!
If you want real joy in your life, for 2009, then you must read your Bible and feed on the promises of the Almighty God!
If you want real peace and a life free of worry and fear, then you must read your Bible Every day. You will have trials and tribulations, but by reading and understanding God's Word, you can overcome these trials and tribulations and be an overcomer.
You cannot attend a local Church one to three times a week and expect to be spoon fed and then live a victorious life. This means you will have to turn off that sports and movies and filth on that TV and sit down and yes, READ!
Now I realize that this a matter of discipline and then sometimes there are hard passages that have antiquated words or systems of measurement that can really throw you. That is where my books come in! I want to help you to read and understand the basics so that the Holy Spirit can become your real teacher!
