My name is Peg. I’ve always been an avid reader, so writing just seemed like a natural progression. I write a variety of genres (writing articles, greeting card verses, children’s fiction and non-fiction, inspirational articles)…though my ultimate goal is to write and illustrate my own picture book.I started writing August 15, 2004 when I joined my first critique group and haven’t stopped. I currently moderate two on-line critique groups for picture book writers.My writing credits include: Children’s Fiction Stories:Christopher’s Choice/Wee Ones Magazine/July/August 2006. Zelda’s Special/Stories for Children Magazine/September 2008. My non-fiction article: Quolls, One of Australia's Lesser Known Natives will appear in their January 2009 issue. The first appeared in November's issue of the Children’s Writer’s Enews and was titled Twelve Simple Solutions to Common Writers Woes. My second writer's article is scheduled to appear in February of 2009. It is called The Writing Cycle. My third article, The Chicken-in -Me appeared in the March issue of ICL Enews and will also appear in In My Office at kidmagwruters.com in April .I've been working with a local school system and authored three social stories for them that will be used with children in the school that have Aspergers. Max Tells a Joke is about my nephew who has Aspergers.I joined Scbwi and love it. I am also on Twitter as peg366.I got another article accepted today. My article, What Makes Me a Writer? will appear in the December 2009 issue of The Writer Within.
