Kelly is often defined by her many labels: wife, mother of four, daughter, sister, friend and aspiring writer. She enjoys the smell of old books, reading, writing, collectibles, period dramas, hiking, and music. Her love for writing is only now coming to fruition after writing a Mother’s group newsletter and doing a course in Sociology at the University of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. For the past two years Kelly has been a consultant with Total Learning www.totallearning.ws. In this role she provides customers with a personal approach to obtaining educational books for children. This has led to a deep love of children books and the desire to write them.

I write because it is hard and because it is easy. I write because it makes me happy and it makes me sad. I write because I am afraid and because I am brave. I write because it takes me to heights and plummets me to depths. I write because it helps me express love for the people around me. I write because words are magic.
