Sneak peek from R is for Roses from Healing Alphabet (experimenting with pastel paper, watercolor and color pencils; nice feeling)
I realized this morning that I think on paper. I either have to write things down or draw tiny sketches. My house is littered with notebooks of every type. Cleaning out the garage yesterday I found boxes and boxes of old notebooks. My brain must need to unload in this fashion.

I was interviewed yesterday for a news article on the SMALL HANDMADE BOOKS class I will be teaching at Yavapai College in Sedona this spring. We are spreading the word to wrestle up students. I only teach if I get enough students, so this is a little unnerving for someone who likes a definite plan. I love making books and have stumbled onto the world of handmade books. This area goes well with all the other areas of making books--altered books, art journals, illustrating etc.
There's a biggy canvas sitting in my office, blank. I can't get started. When I paint, I let go and I think at this moment, I don't want to.

I am so excited that someone else out there actually thinks on paper first with ideas and thumbs. I admire anyone who does that. that is the foundation of a great piece of art, my friend. Keep up the good work!
