1. Albion

I wanted to make sure everyone knows about this wonderful comic and it's amazingly talented creators. This comic is especially cool if you're a fan of comics history like me. Albion was released as a 6 issue mini series a few years ago(now available collected) by Alan Moore, Leah Moore, John Reppion, Shane Oakley and George Freeman (a Canadian who worked on Captain Canuck!). It's worth the price of admission for the talent alone. The story is amazing, it's an alternate world where superheroes existed but have all been locked away in an asylum. I won't give away too much. The story moves fast and is always compelling and the noirish, expressionistic art is the kind that works best in comics. Shane's work is beautiful here. He creates some of the best characters with his pen.... another super cool thing-if you've been following my blog you'll know I'm cooking up a project with Shane... Read the rest of this post

2. More Colour!

In an attempt to steer me away from bad colouring two friends across the pond coloured two of my drawings and I wish I was this good! I find they both add so much depth to what I've done. On top, the Professor, was coloured by Viviane Schwartz. viviane has done a ton of great children's books and has been a real help to me as I grope blindly about the world of illustration. The next one is by comic book artist extraordinaire Shane Oakley, Shane did the incredible Albion series and has worked on the Mr. X series. Shane and I are working on a collaboration that is the coolest thing I've ever done. I'll be posting more about that later.
P.S. Viviane just let me know that Alexis"Slow Loris"Deacon contributed to her colouring job.
