Here's a Moleskin sketch I did of Maddy Kettle and new character Ratcopter. I scanned this with my new scanner, which is a great scanner but I'm still not sure how to use it yet...
I'm just finishing up my Harry and Silvio proposal/first chapter. I should be done by the weekend, and then things will really kick into high gear. I start a children.s book,a comic for Tor.com and sample pages for another project. Luckily they are all amazing projects I'm lucky to be involved with.
You can't beat a flying rodent. :)

Stunning! What more can I say. Ok, I'll say something else. Wow!

Your work is beautiful (I'm usually a blog stalker on your blog lol) I keep wondering what brand of watercolors you use. They look beautiful with in pen and ink. I love this one with the rodent.
Thanks so much everyone! Sorry about being a bit off on the comments, my son seems to have perfected speed crawling and things are always on the edge of imminent disaster.
Jen, I always use Winsor Newton artist watercolours.Usually I use tubes but this is done ith a traveling kit which has the little dry blocks of paint, which I like more and more for colouring pen and ink because it's not as wasteful as tubes, at least in my case.
Beautiful work! I'm curious: what kind of scanner did you get? I'm in need of a new one and not sure which way to go....
