I did this for Illustration Friday this week...
Also, this is the logo for this month's April Fool contest. The Anti-Valentines day contest was well received, but there were alot more crafty entries than illustrations, so I'm hoping my artist friends will be more in evidence with this one!
Sketched in pencil (long work meeting!), scanned, colored in photoshop.

Maurice Sendak is one of my favorite illustrators of all time, since I was a kid.
So this is a quickie homage. (you know you're setting yourself up for failure when you can never compare to the original!)
I was trying a new technique on this one, so as always, feedback is appreciated!

Still working on the weekly challenge, but I did this for last week's Illo Friday - Happy Valentines day to everyone!
Also, I used this sketch for a tutorial on how to make your pencil sketch look like an inked drawing - I'd love some feedback on it (my methods are trial and error, I've never had a photoshop class), and any other tips anyone has!
