This is a couple of pages from my travel Moleskine. Its become a dumping ground for all sorts of odds and sods; stickers, stamps, tickets, labels. I'm not sure that I've finished with it. It lacks something. Something that I can't put my finger on. Yet. Some of the pieces on the pin board are movable, they lift up or across. I was trying to create a pop up, of sorts, but it seems I can't get my head around the kind of paper engineering that that would call for. That's mainly because, for the most of the time, my head is filled with thoughts of fluffy bunny tails and kittens in bonnets.
I don't know whether I've mentioned this before but I actually have a Masters Degree from the University of Cute Overload. I spent four years, of hard work, to gain that qualification. And I ain't going to let it go to waste.
In these two versions of this pin board I can demonstrate, and share with you, some of the skills I picked up during that time. In the drawing above you might notice a photo of a very cute little boy - it's next to his cute letter. Now, watch as with one small move I turn a cute image into something a million percent cuter. Check out the drawing below.
He's only holding a bloody chick!!!

Phew. PHEW. I'm back. I've had a wonderful, full on, couple of weeks. Full of music and laughter and wine. And fun, of course. Over the next week or so I'll try and get back to all the emails, comments, messages etc that I've received recently. Right now, I'm exhausted, after a long long drive.
Here's a little something I've been working on for approximately three months. Not a solid three months. I've been working on it bit by bit. Off and on. More off than on, I might add. It's a tribute to my best buddy. Thanks for a great time, ducky. Long may you run.

Now, I've often said 'this is the longest drawing I've ever done' but, hey, this time I really mean it. I had wanted to do a colour piece, I felt my blog could do a with a little burst of colour, as the last few drawings have all been in this pen. So I started a colour drawing over the weekend. I was unsure of the it right from the off. I worked on it for a couple of days and really disliked the result, so I went back to a subject that I know and love.
It may well look familiar. I've done a couple of versions of this theme in the past. But this one took the longest by some way. I'm guessing over the last few weeks approximately 30 hours of work have gone into this drawing. This kind of subject is so fascinating to me. I really enjoy the drawings within a drawing thing. They are so easy to get lost in. I hope you can too.
I also want to say thanks to everyone who was given me and/or my blog awards over the last few weeks. I'm touched by the kind words. Cheers folks.

Thank you, lovelies.
I think it's obvious. But did you spot the chick?
Tine, yes! Lots of the lovely bits and pieces you sent to me. Thanks.
Cheers all.
Yep, found it. Your collages are just great, and every time I see them I always regret having thrown away all those little cards, cupons, travel documents and everything - I just always saw it as junk, but you keep showing us it's ART! Lovely!
I love these spreads you do with all the ephemera and memorabilia. Just lovely.... I might try and have a go at one for myself someday, but I doubt I'd be able to carry it off!! Ooh, & found the difference, hurrah!!
