So do you like my new avatar? I have to thank the Webmeister for that - he made it out of all these pictures he took of me dancing at Joe Hurley's All Star Downtown Irish Rock Revue at the Bowery Ballroom on Saturday evening.
But first, we met up with Pilotrocker and his Significant Other at Joe's Pub for The Jill (Sobule) and Julia (Sweeney) show, with special guest appearance by Cyndi Lauper. PilotRocker who was the only one amongst us who actually *is* Irish, was kitted out in his MC Pilot outfit - complete with green beermug bling my daughter insisted on buying him at the grocery store.

We watched Julia, Jill and Cyndi pose for photos:
before we got to say a quick hi to Jill and have our pic taken with her ourselves
Then it was off to the Bowery Ballroom for some serious Irish rocking organized by the inestimable Joe Hurley. Although you might see me holding a drink, it was Diet Coke, seeing as I was the Designated Driver for the evening. Me, I was just high on life. It's been pretty damn stressful round these here parts lately, so it was great to get out and shake my o'derriere to some terrific Irish rock.
