I’m all for contests, but look at the wording on this. It’s for something called Cheerios Spoonfuls of Stories Children’s Book Contest.
“The contest is open to unpublished authors ages 18 years and older, to submit their children’s story. The story should be suitable for children ages 4 to 8 years old. One Grand Prize Winner will receive a cash prize from Cheerios and have an opportunity to have their book reviewed for a potential book deal with a publisher. In addition, two First Prize winners will receive cash prizes. All three Prize winners will have their stories featured online at spoonfulsofstories.com.”
Don’t you think the announcement for a writing contest should be better written? Or am I off base?
