It´s a Wednesday, so it´s a great day to post my first watercolor painting here!
I have joined WaWe some time ago (few months ago actually), but never posted anything until now. Usually I paint pictures that have more brighter "happier" colors, this is slightly different from what I do normally.

People constantly wonder why understand means what it does. The concept of understanding is highly abstract. It is much easier to say I see (implying that now everything is clear), and I grasp (suggesting that the object is now mine in the literal or figurative sense) than I comprehend the nature and significance of a phenomenon or message. The briefest survey of other languages shows that words for observing (seeing) and seizing (grasping) are often used to express the ideas of comprehension and acquiring knowledge. The idea of “understanding” may also come from “separation”: we sift a mass of things and by sifting discern what they are made of (discern, from Old French, ultimately from Latin dis-cernere, is “to separate”). BTW I wondered how you managed to make your areas of color so smooth looking. Do you use masking fluid or do you have another technique?
Thanks.
Wonderful work! Great feeling in the image!
Welcome, I love your work!I look forward to seeing what is coming next!
Thanks everyone :-) Sophie: Yes I use masking fluid. In this one I masked the plants so I was able to paint the sky before color dried.
