1. Treasure by DaisyB

Here's what I thought about when I saw this week's topic. Remember The Goonies? Wouldn't you love to go on a treasure hunt?! I would...

And this is an illustration I did for IF a few months ago. It works for this too... We each have a different definition of treasure and this little guy just found his own.

2. Monthly challenge by DaisyB

Did a few quick sketches this week and colored them this morning. The first was right back from the jazz fest here in Montreal. For the second, I just started, not knowing what it would be and this is the result.

3. Heaven by DaisyB

Here's for the weekly challenge. I'm going in a different way here. My dad always loved jazz music. His favorites are the old ones, the great ones... Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis to name just a few. In the 50s he was often in New York, the city of jazz. It was his music heaven. This week in Montreal (where I live) it's the jazz fest, I always like going too.

Here's a little monster I did last night on a piece of wood. I submit it to the monthly challenge.

5. Monthly challenge by DaisyB

Hi guys, I'm posting here a few simple illustrations I did for friends. I thought it would be nice to dedicate this one to the people that are always around me and to whom I love to draw for. So here we go.

I did this as a birthday card for a coworker girlfriend that always try to find out everything. She didn't like surprises... But that time, she didn't see it coming.

That other friend asked me to draw three things that represented her, she wanted to put them up in her office. She loves travelling, Café au lait (Lattes) and Thaï food.

This one was for a website, but was never used... To bad, I think it's cute.

This was a card for a friend that was going on her maternity leave at work. The story is her own, but I did it as a poem with rhymes. We'd always call her Princess Sara because she was tiny, even with her belly. Her prince charming was cutting her carrots in diamond shape to make her happy. What would be named her little treasure, the new born king? We do not know, but he'd be covered in gold by mommy and daddy.

6. Artist by DaisyB

It's always tough for me to call myself an artist. But art can take many shapes. I illustrated myself with paint, but it could've been with many other mediums. When I draw I take my hair up, I gather my stuff and I do my best. As long as we have fun doing what we do, we can call ourselves artists...

7. Sticker by DaisyB

Here's my little sticker for this week. I thought about making one for my site... It seems everyone these days is asking me about what I'm working at. So a sticker to give away could be a nice way to get people to know my site and what I do.

8. Glass by DaisyB

I realized I had a couple of pieces related to this weeks topic. The first one is a stained glass lamp I did few years ago, from one of my drawings. So it's unique. I named it sailing on troubled waters.

The second is a painting I'm not quite done with. It's acrylics on canvas, inspired by italy, good food and good wine. It's work in progress, but I thought I could share it with you guys.

And the last is a sketch I did while waiting for my train home this week. I went out with friends (for a stay at home mom, it's a big deal!). So I started it thinking about my evening and the time I spent with friends. The wait seemed long and an hourglass came to mind. I worked it in Photoshop after scanning it. Here it is.

Don't you wish you had your little country house on one of those hills?

10. Monthly challenge by DaisyB

Here's a few things for the Monthly Challenge. I can't participate for this week's challenge (got myself a great first Monday Artday trophy, yay!), but the second one could've worked for the topic. I might work on a stationnary too, just for the fun of it... 'cause we just can't stop drawing!

11. Warrior by DaisyB

Hand drawn illustration, colored in photoshop. 8" x 4"

Hi guys, here is my entry for the weekly challenge. I used Tony LaRocca's suggestion for this weeks topic (yes, I had to admit I had not much inspiration for that one...).

Here is a courageous viking white blood cell fighting the villain virus (you get to choose what kind of virus!) Notice how our hero here is just about to defeat the enemy. Bling!

12. New member's Crrrrazy hair!

Hi guys!

Thought for my first entry I should introduce myself by posting a little digital illustration I did of myself a while ago. I'm always noticed for my big crazy hair...
