Hi Everyone. Thanks for all of the great feedback. I made a few changes and think it is working much better now. As you can see, I changed the face of the little chipmunk, darkened his claws so they didn't blend into the rope as much, and added the tail to Mr. Mouse(opps). As always, I'd love to hear what you guys think now!
Oh so much better! Chipmunk's face really works here. I agree with Lil' Kim's advice about seeing more of where they are going...
This looks like a spread but only the right side is showing.
Beautiful work!
hmmmm, maybe I should do a second illustration showing what is happening over on the left and put them together in photoshop to make a double page spread?? Great idea!! Thanks so much guys :)
This turned out great. I agree you want to see more. What a neat way to illustrate.
Hi well great work! :)
My first reaction is that is lots happening with no real focal point so I was going to suggest the dreaded 'red dot' - to make the eye stop at certain place . And lo and behold I have found it in the lady beetle.
So the ropes are leading our eyes to the top of the acorns - maybe the beetle could be placed there - then you might need some red in other places to work off the focal point.
cheers :)
I think if you created the left side of the spread you could answer some questions...like where are the acorns going? Is someone waiting for them and why? Is that their sweet home or a neighbor? Are they stealing or performing a good deed?
I like where you're going, but I want to know more! There's definitely a story here.
