1. Paint Spinning at the shop

One of my favourite things at the Colour Makes People Happy Store where I have my studio is the paint spinning machine right in the front of the shop where people make huge bright paintings for their homes by pouring paint on white card... Some of them are really wonderful, my favourite is the one above I think. I wasn't sure at first, but by now I've seen so many fun and variations that I'm sure it's one of the best ways to get some colour into your house ever.

2. Today it Rained.

So I sheltered first in an Italian bar, where I bought a risotto with most of my spare change.
It was soothing because I appreciated the concentration and effort needed to stir it until it is cooked.
Then the rain let up a bit, and I ran towards the studio but had to shelter again, this time in a charity shop. I counted the rest of my change, and it bought me a ship in a bottle.

Then I got to the studio and painted a cat.

I decided to buy some frames and cut window mounts so I can have a proper exhibition soon.

The venue is very near East Dulwich station, trains run every 10 minutes from London Bridge and it takes 12 minutes.

Alternatively, it is a 15 minute walk from the center of Camberwell or Peckham. The 185 from Victoria/Vauxhall/Oval stops right outside (press the bell at East Dulwich station).

5. Humans and Totems Exhibition - Some Pictures

Tim's Paintings are beautiful.
Alexia's "Foreigner" is awsome. She made the tiny lizards out of something like papier mache, using tiny brushes.

This guy is my favourite. (Also by Alexia)

I dressed up as a ghost, I think people just thought I was ill. That's my donkey painting in the background.

It went well, and the exhibition is on until the 12th of November. Things are for sale. Come and see.

6. Painting, painting...

Some of these shall go into our Humans and Totems exhibition which opens on Halloween.
I shall be painting more today. The gallery is looking great, and we are thinking about making it a more permanent thing... more about that later.

I'm also working on a new cat-related project, which means that I'm not very sociable down the pub these days. I just sit there and draw Siamese cats.

8. Screaming Clogs

I'll do a Halloween workshop painting these soon at the Colour Makes People Happy shop.
This is the result of my first trial - I'm still figuring out the instructions.
To the left a black smudge I made on Simon's lovely clean wooden table in the process, and made much worse smudging it about. Arh.
