The Sixty-Eight Rooms by debut author Marianne Malone, illustrated by Greg Call, best known for brilliantly bringing Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's Peter and the Starcathcers series to life. Oh my goodness, I love the Thorne Rooms! I hadn't heard of Malone's books before, so I'll definitely be checking them out now. Thanks so much for your review!
Stopping by during the Comment Challenge. What terrific covers to the books you have displayed. Thanks for sharing the review of "Stealing Magic...." Amazed at all the talent out there.
After reading the first book I have had my heart set on going to see the rooms in person some day! That not being immediately possible, I shall content myself with looking forward to reading this one!

I found your blog while taking the SCBWI comment challenge. I'll be visiting regularly! BTW, I recently finished The Apothecary. I highly recommend it if you like fun adventures with a bit of mystery and alchemy.

Did you know that Maile Meloy is the sister of Colin Meloy, a musician who just wrote his first kid's book with the help of his amazing wife, artist Carson Ellis, called WILDWOOD? I don't
I hadn't heard of these before, but I love the concept! They sound like something I'd adore. Adding them to my TBR right now. :)

(Stephanie @ Read in a Single Sitting)
Born and raised in Chicago, I can still recall the first time that my mother took my siblings and I to the Art Institute to see the Thorne Rooms about 35 years ago. I was awestruck. My kids are too young for the book but I think I will borrow it to read myself.
