Last week I posted news that I’m writing a blog from the point of view of one of my characters, which garnered a fair amount of interest, especially as an exercise in finding your character’s voice. A week later I have more to share with you. Here’s what I’ve found out: A micro-blog is easier [...] Related posts:

I usually do a short summary of the chat when I post a transcript, but this week I’m going to leave it to @HeatherMcCorkle, who posted a summary on her blog, the appropriately named Scribe Sisters. Many thanks, Heather, for the great write up! Transcript: Irresistible Book Titles: How To Find One and Why You Should Bother Irresistible [...] Related posts:

Tonight on #ScribeChat we’ll be looking at how to pitch an entire novel in one sentence. Impossible, you say. No, not impossible, though it is REALLY hard to do. So why bother? Well, we’ve all been at dinner with a friend we adore in spite of the fact that they can’t tell a joke to save [...] Related posts:
This is fantastic! I’m recommeding this post to every blogger I know. Now, to get ready for the chat!
Thanks, Heather! I love it when you tell me I’ve hit the mark.
I’d like to add, if I may, that if one chooses Blogger, they, like many other blog host sites, offer options for you to ‘advertise.’ With adsense, you get the opportunity to serve as a host for various ads. Eventually, you will get paid for this little service you provide. I got a $100 gift card from Google in the form of free advertisement for my blog. This can put you directly onto search engines.
Just an FYI.

Great point, teetate! I prefer to keep advertisments off my blogs, but it’s a personal decision. Some people are bothered by them, some people aren’t.
Wonderful and resourceful post.

Claudine and Jevon, your praise is golden!
Hey Lia… I agree with you that its important to build an effective writer’s blog as we are investing time and effort in creating an online presence. So unless it attracts loyal followers and readers it will be a sheer waste of time.
The most effective way of doing that is by keeping a blog, reader friendly and easy to navigate. The topics should not only interest the readers but invite active participation by way of comments.
